I couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend my summer 🥹

To Southern Style 25, it is an honor to represent our university with you all by my side. When I look back to who I was even just a short time ago, I see a shell of the person I have now become. Thank you for everything– laughing with me, crying with me, and providing a space in which I felt comfortable not only to be myself but also to grow. In my old age, I will look in the mirror and remember our time together fondly upon seeing the smile lines etched deep by the ceaseless grins and careless laughs of summer 2025.

To my students, I wish you the best four years of your life yet. I have full confidence that Southern Miss will provide you with as much as it has given me and more. Please never think that I don’t or won’t remember you– if you were in my small group or even if we only had one conversation, I promise I remember you by name. Reach out if you ever need anything at all, and say hi if you see me on campus! Don’t forget to keep an open mind and give Southern Miss your all. If you do, it will take you under its wing and then to places you could never imagine.

To Southern Miss, thank you for trusting me to serve in this special role. I can honestly say that I did my best this summer. I am grateful to faculty and staff for sustaining our campus’s unique environment. It is because of their efforts that students like myself are able to thrive and grow here.

Hopefully, when I graduate in two years, I will cross the stage knowing that I left campus better than I found it.

Southern Miss… To The Top! 🖤💛🦅🌻
