“That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:10The impact the Lord has made on my life this week is truly unbelievable. Even in my darkest moments God has never given up on me and He never will.This week at UTC I pushed my body to limits I never thought were possible. There were moments of pain, exhaustion, and doubt but through every challenge the Lord was right by my side. 2 Timothy 4:17 “But the Lord stood by my side and gave me strength,” this verse truly came to life for me this week.One of the biggest breakthroughs I experienced wasn’t physical it was discovering who I am beyond my sport. For so long I placed my identity in my athletic performance but God showed me that I am so much more than that. I am not defined by wins, losses, success, or failure. I am a daughter of Christ. I am confident, beautiful, faithful, and called to lead others through Him. No sport, title, or achievement can ever define my worth the way God does.Team 11, thank you. I truly could not have made it through this week without you by my side. You pushed me further than I ever thought I could go and reminded me that through Christ I am stronger than any pain, hardship, or obstacle the enemy places in my path. Your faith and friendship carried me through some of the toughest moments. You are more than teammates you are family. I am forever grateful that God brought each of you into my life. The memories, lessons, and friendships from this week will stay with me forever. I am more than an athlete by @_athena.jones
