8/25/24 - the day I gave my life to Jesus🤍

I'm so blessed to have grown up with a family who taught me that having a relationship with the Lord is Important. I've always grown up dreaming of the day I would get baptized, and I'm filled with excitement now that it's here.

This past year I had a very distant year with Jesus. I wasn't going to youth group that often, I wasn't great about reading my Bible, etc. I felt like Jesus wasn't in my life at all... I went to SBR this summer just like any other year, but my experience was so eye opening. Even though Silver Birch is something I love and look forward to, I went into the week not being excited and couldn't wait to go home - closing myself off from Jesus and the experiences that were to come. I spent so much time with Alanna praying over wanting to get baptized, start fresh, and being brave enough to take the next step. I'm beyond lucky to have a leader like her in my life.

Jesus is so loving and intentional with His plans. Over the last week, I've had the opportunity to serve in Clarkston, GA - a community filled with refugee families and children. Spending time with kids overfills my cup with so much joy and God has given me the sweetest memories with the kids at 14D. I've made lifelong friendships and memories serving alongside my team. I am so beyond blessed, 14D has truly changed my life and will have a special spot in my heart. 🤍 taken in Clarkston, Georgia by @_averytio

To know Christ and to make Him known🤍
I drove up late to my last year of SBR, thinking I was missing out on opportunities for the Lord to work and all of the fun that comes with it. I came into the week feeling so overwhelmed and drained from the week prior. I felt so much on my heart yet so numb at the same time. I decided to give it all to God - my storms, hopes, happiness, and everything in between. From disconnecting from my phone to all of the incredible moments in worship, prayers, encounters with others, and sermons - God taught me how to have patience within His plans for me. I was reminded that His timing is the right timing, leaning into what God had ready for me was the best thing I could've done. Thank you Silver Birch Ranch for letting me grow my faith in such a special place for the last 7 years, it's been the biggest blessing.
