How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.

Someone once taught me that it is not about what you receive, but what love and heart you give to inspire others. That special person is no longer physically with me today, but is forever engraved into my heart, and Is my reminder to stay kind, humble, and to live with endless love.

My love for finding a purpose and desire to be apart of something special is fulfilled. As I hold oncology close to my heart, I know now that helping children go through one of the greatest battles of their lives is something that I can be proud of. To Doernbechers pediatric cancer care and research, thank you for welcoming me with open arms, and allowing me to hold such a wonderful fundraising opportunity.

To those of you that donated—participated in my run, sponsored, supported, and gave me lots of encouragement. I cannot thank you enough!

I’ve been playing softball for as long as I could remember, and I’ve always had a soft spot for the sport. As I took the field today I felt something I’ve never felt before, I was playing for something bigger than myself, I was playing for you. I quickly looked into the once cloudy sky minutes before the game had started and saw the sun, right then I knew you were watching me. My team dedicated this game to show how much you meant to everyone, and we came to the realization you were right there with us.
