This is my Grandmother, Bernella Bryan. Almost 2 years ago she passed away and I still remember the days where only surfing made me happy. It was through surfing that I felt God’s embrace and beauty through His creation.

The “Bernella Board” represents dreams. All my Grandmother wanted to do was go to a University in Spain like her brother. But instead her books were thrown away and she was forced to marry a man she didn’t love. Because her dream was taken away, I won’t take being able to live out my dream in San Diego for granted.

(Hebrews 12:1) I believe my Grandmother every now and then looks along with those witnesses and sees me honoring her life and continuing her legacy. by @_b_tuck

San Diego has officially been the longest place I’ve lived since 2018. Much love to my VA friends and fam that will never be replaced, but wouldn’t want to be anywhere else than here. Thanks to everyone that’s made this place feel like home!!! by @_b_tuck
