[CURATORS 09] Baboa Tachie-Menson (@_baboa) runs three ventures from Accra: Balmlabs (@balm.labs), where she creates 3D fashion design for labels like Tongoro Studio (@tongorostudio) and Diarrablu (@thediarrablu), The Showroom Accra (@theshowroomaccra), her retail platform for contemporary African brands, and Ono (@worldono@), her linen-led apparel line.

She also happily admits The Showroom is her quiet way of slowly curating the dream wardrobe she has always imagined.

In her portrait, she talks about the investor comment that made her rethink what scaling means for creative businesses, why she is restructuring The Showroom around experiences and community rather than traditional retail, and the unglamorous systems, from tech packs to quality control, that she believes will unlock the next stage of growth for African brands.
