Schreckhorn-Lauteraarhorn with @timegner.photography 🤠

Amazing long route, with an even longer descent. We chose to go over the Aarbivak, as last weekend a big rockfall happened on the Schraubengang, making the descent back to Grindelwald not feasible. The descent of the normal route of the Lauteraarhorn in summer is super chossy, which made for an exciting downclimb. The Aarbivak is one of the most remote bivy huts in the Alps, cool to visit once (but really only once). Crazy how big the Finsteraargletscher is! Unfortunately the hot summer has left its mark on the glaciers… taken in Schreckhorn by @_basmulder

Via Cassin on the Piz Badile with Seb! 🤠

Accidentally paid homage to the original ascent by Mr. Cassin by forgetting my climbing shoes in the hut. Luckily rope gun Seb was eager to lead most of the route and I could comfortably fumble the slabs in my approach shoes on toprope. Despite the small mishap we fortunately arrived at the summit at a very reasonable time. taken in Piz Badile by @_basmulder

One month of parabikepacking in Kyrgyzstan 🪂🚴🏻‍♂️🇰🇬

Even though our original plan of climbing an unclimbed 4000m peak and flying down with the paraglider didn’t work out, it was such a great adventure. Bike breakdowns, food crises, storms, amazing views, wild river crossings, dust, super friendly locals, dry bread, what else could you want?? Truly amazing what is possible with a vague plan and a 1,2 kg flying machine. taken in Kyrgyzstan by @_basmulder

Winterstock - Südwand 🧗🏻

Very nice spontaneous alpine adventure with @ottobroers, @pol_fontana, & @magic_mala_. The route goes in 14 pitches up to 5c to one of the three summits of the Winterstock, and even though it is partially bolted, it felt like quite an alpine adventure. After a long break of climbing due to paragliding, it felt very good to be back on the rock. Looking forward to more alpine climbing this season!

PdG 2026: 61km, 4230hm, and one amazing team with @schmieterr and Michel ⛷️

I‘m not really a race kinda guy, but I really enjoyed participating once in this almost legendary skimo race. I think this is also the end of my short-lived skimo carreer, but the PdG has got me quite motivated to train for some more (probably self-organised) ultra-endurance challenges. 👹 taken in Wallis - Valais by @_basmulder

Or trying to ;) Unfortunately we couldn’t take off from the summit as we had planned, but from the Adlerpass the wind allowed for a tiny speedride on the glacier, what a sick way to end a 3-day bivy & fly trip taken in Strahlhorn by @_basmulder

Flight down from Mönch 🪂

This one was so beautiful I couldn’t resist to make a seperate post. Flight down from Mönch on 3.3.2026 with @janna.mieke and @birchenou. I would have never thought flying off 4000ers was possible having only gotten my license half a year ago, yet it’s already the third one. Radical week recap 🪂⛷️⛏️

In the mountains, you are so dependent on the conditions. Sometimes, everything just lines up, and you just have to go for it. Last week it was like that. Crazy how much you can do in a week when working 80%, having a supportive girlfriend who also happens to live in Thun, and no respect for your free time.

Sunday: Patrouille de Maya skitouring race with @schmieterr ⛷️
Tuesday: Morning run & fly at Mönchelealp 🪂🏃🏻‍♂️
Wednesday: Fly off Mönch with @janna.mieke and @birchenou 🪂
Saturday: Ski down to Cosmiques ⛷️
Sunday: Supercouloir (at least the first 4/5 pitches) with @mylavanwegen and @lukaspragt

So grateful to be living in such a beautiful place, have so many awesome friends to go on tours with, and being able to go on such sick adventures. When I started rock climbing 6,5 years ago, I would have never thought it would shape my life to this extent.

What you don’t see however is all the evenings working overtime juggling all my projects at work, so much planning, trying to make everything fit by trying to be productive for every minute of the day, and missing out on sleep. It’s definitely not sustainable to live every week like this, but when it does line up, it’s so worthwhile. Luckily there are also weeks with worse weather to rest. :) taken in Thun, Switzerland by @_basmulder

This weekend 4 former students that did our July intensive course flew off from 4000m summits in the alps. Bas and Jana flew off Mont Blanc, Alexis flew from the Mönch and Maxx took off from Allalinhorn. Live your dreams now. Congrats guys! #speedflyingschool by @_basmulder

Mont Blanc: The Flight 🪂

After coming up the Trois Monts, we were both feeling the altitude. The wind had shifted more towards the west, and with almost no wind at all, the takeoff took a bit of effort. Janna took off first, then me. The feeling of slowly taking off, flying through the clouds, and over the Dôme du Goûter was incredible. After about 45 min, we were back down in Chamonix, just next to where we parked our car. Very grateful to be able to share these experiences with my girlfriend. taken in Mont Blanc by @_basmulder
