🎟Tickets über das Societätstheater

Ausgehend von den Bildkulturen im neuen digitalen Zeitalter erforscht die Performance SLOP deren Beziehung zur radikalen, animalischen Kunst der Auto-Perforations-Artisten. Vorbei an Verboten besetzten sie in den 1980er Jahren im beschaulichen Dresden die Nische der Aktionskunst. Fernab vom sozialistischen Realismus und der Staatskultur der DDR schufen sie durch das Ausloten der eigenen Körpergrenzen subversive Bilder des Widerstands. Inspiriert von Archivmaterialien und Gesprächen mit der Künstlergruppe von damals und Fluten an Internet-Content fragt SLOP performativ: Was kann uns heute überhaupt noch herausfordern? Welche Bilder können wir erzeugen, in einer Zeit, in der Sichtbarkeit, digitale Performance und Selbstoptimierung zur Währung geworden sind?

Before we head into our summer break, we invite you to celebrate the closing of our current exhibitions with us. From 19:00 onwards, join us for an evening program featuring a film screening, performance, DJ set, and cold drinks at the bar.

Noé Duboutay will activate his exhibition “It Started with a Pear” one final time with a performance. The characters of the girl, the horse, and the knight step out of the narrative into real space. Drawing on the medieval novel “Le Roman de Silence”, the resulting body of work questions socially prescribed roles and gender images and brings fluid forms of identity into view.

Triangulation, a performance for Brad, Janet, and a virtually generated Triangle Person who crave geometric stability but flirt with nihilistic dimensions. A kind of new game in a series of game performances about performing the nightmare (and triangles).

Thanks so much to @melosyndrom for organising, inviting, and pouring BODY and SOUL hehe into this and letting us all clown around in their exhibition (which you better have seen and if not really too bad for you). And to @raumfuerdrastischemassnahmen and @projectspacefestival .

Since I am ALWAYS late with posting my work, this is going to be another #tb #tbthursday lol.
soo nearly one year ago we were in the midst of the production phase of In Darkness Let Me Dwell by the iconic @_beach_ball._ and I am STILL riding high on it. This was one of my favorite projects everrr.
I was in charge of costumes, which was incredibly MAD FUN and I wanted to dedicate a few pictures to them. (special thanks to @stillarat /@helicopdah for the bog body thighs & @yourspecialagentfabia for being much needed H&M support)

CHARACTERS (with a few details)

Prince of Darkness - loves doom and sardonic disdain -> black teeth, spiky claws & an imprisoned heart (1&2)
Princess Airhead - a mean IT-Girl with a bloody babydoll dress and a Wild&Free Patch (3)
Bog Body 1 - cable bondage, film glasses, 01010000111 on shirt — MAD FUN paper on the back (5)
Bog Body 2 - news paper shirt & Ralph Lauren tennis dress — the Bog Bodies are too cool and work for the Department of MAD FUN (Morally Ambiguous Dead Future Unamerican Nightmare) (6)

WOLFSMÜTTER – My Mother Was a Wolf

"Es geschah zu der Zeit
als man
bald Mensch bald Tier war
Hier liegen wir jetzt also
gemeinsam an den
Zitzen nippend
die uns die Mutter hinwirft"

Ein Abend der Schauspiel, Tanz und Video, kombiniert, um der Frage nachzugehen, wie man ein künstlerisches Werk gebären kann.

Inspiriert von Virginia Woolfs Orlando nimmt das Stück die Fluidität auf, die sowohl für Orlando als auch für Woolf selbst ein zentrales Merkmal ist. Die Performer*innen morphen durch ihre eigene Orlando-Figur und verwischen dabei Genre und Geschlecht, und tauschen fortwährend ihre Identitäten.

Diese Orlandos sind nicht nur Künstler*innen mit künstlerischen Zielen, sie sind Welpen, Oscar Gewinner*innen, Scammer*innen, und ihre Mutter ist eine Wölfin.

🎭 Team-Vorstellung // DIE KANTINE 🎭

CHOREOGRAFIE

ist eine in Deutschland lebende, in Texas geborene Künstlerin, Choreografin, Performerin und gelegentliche Musikerin, die man vielleicht am ehesten als Cartoon-Künstlerin in den „falschen“ Medien beschreiben könnte. Sie hat Arbeiten für Theater, Galerien, Off-Spaces, öffentliche Plätze, das Internet, einen Medien-Abstellraum, einen Strand und eine de-funktionalisierte Bank realisiert. Ihre Arbeit steht nicht „an der Schnittstelle“ von irgendetwas, sondern untersucht das aktive Bedeutungs-Schaffen in einem prekären Zwischenraum von Willkür und Tiefgründigkeit, von Lebendigem und Untotem. Sie interessiert sich für die Geschichte der Technologie als Geschichte der Menschheit, für die Politik des Unsinns, Internet-Horror-Mikro-Genres, Tanz als Dissoziation als Aktivierung und für das Durchsieben von Strandgut. In den letzten Jahren arbeitet sie vor allem durch Sailor, eine menschlich-algorithmische Figur, die ein unendliches Archiv aus Schiffswracks navigiert, die aus Informations-Trümmern entstehen – und kein eigenes Boot besitzt. Momentan spielt sie in den Bands Halloween Boyfriend und Cocktail Napkin.
 Sie studiert an der AdBK Nürnberg @adbk_nuernberg bei Johannes Paul Raether sowie an der Palucca Hochschule @paluccahochschulefuertanz für Tanz bei Katharina Christl.

CAROLINE BEACH
SONG CYCLE FOR A HORIZONTAL ANGEL

song cycle for a horizontal angel ist eine Performance zwischen Informationsakkumulation und deren Austreibung. Sailor wird vom Engel der Information besessen, nicht aus Langeweile, sondern aus Verlangen. Verlangen ist eine Möglichkeit, zu fragen, ob es so etwas wie Freiheit gibt, was wiederum eine andere Art ist, zu fragen, was der Unterschied zwischen
Katastrophe und Unglück ist. Durch das Durchforsten von Fragmenten bestehender Performances, Texten, Videos, Objekten und Liedern versucht die Performance, einen selbstreflexiven Dialog mit sich selbst, also zwischen Sailor und dem Engel, zu führen, um einen Materialismus des Gefühls zu finden.
