This is gonna be a long one, but the gist is thank you.

Marshall volleyball has been a journey and one that I will be forever grateful for and forever changed by. It is hard to put into words what this experience was – frankly, without living it, without being one of my teammates, there's no way you could understand.

To Marshall Volleyball, thank you so much for the opportunity to play the sport that I adore, at this level. I genuinely got to live out a dream that was over a decade in the making, which is not something you get to say everyday. To be a part of something bigger than myself, and to represent and wear the jersey, was an honor that I will always cherish. Between the hard sessions, the wins and losses, the early mornings, the long bus rides and long hours, endless inside jokes, travel trip roommates and countless times around the dinner table, I can genuinely say this was the biggest joy of my life so far.

Writing this, I look back at the person I was at 17 walking into Marshall. My first three years at Marshall are not three that I would choose to relive, but they proved that no one and nothing could break me, and it taught me so much inner strength, so much compassion, and so much perspective. Now after my last year, sitting on the other side of it I am so grateful for the struggle, because this last year was full of gratitude and not a moment was wasted.

To be loved is to be changed. The love that I've had for the sport, the countless hours and hard work that has led me to play at this level, and the joy I have felt in living out that dream is something that I will carry with me forever. Similarly, I hope that the love that I played with, the love that I have for my teammates and my coaches, and the love that I have for this program will leave an impact on the ones that I am leaving behind. You have forever changed me for the better and I'm so grateful to live a life where I got to encounter each and everyone of you. You all have a place in my heart for life.
