POSTS STORIES REELS

Dayo typed the whole sermon. On Wednesday, his notes said: "forgiveness is ???"

Chioma pressed record and listened. On Wednesday she had the three points, every scripture with why it was cited, and prayer points written to be prayed.

Same sermon. Different Wednesday.

Same Sermon is a fictional series. Dayo and Chioma are not real people.

Last Sunday's sermon was good. How much of it could you tell someone right now?

Tap record and just listen. Sermly keeps recording with your phone locked, then turns the whole sermon into notes in 7 sections: Main Theme, Scripture References, Key Points, Illustrations & Stories, Notable Quotes, Application, and Prayer Points.

Every sermon you record stays in your library, so what you heard on Sunday is still there next week.

I used to add a sentence after my price. Something soft like “but we can work with your budget.”

I thought I was being accommodating. I was negotiating against myself before anyone had said a word.

The number I said out loud was never the number I’d worked out. Somewhere between the calculation and the sentence, I’d looked at their face and quietly shaved it down. And sometimes from the conversation, they knew there was room. So they took it.

What changed wasn’t my pricing. It was understanding that a price isn’t a cost, it’s a statement about value. When I couldn’t explain what the work was actually worth to them, the number had nothing holding it up, so of course it moved.

Now, most clients don’t negotiate anymore. Not because I got expensive, but because by the time they hear the price, they already know what it’s buying.

The part nobody tells you: your price also decides who you work with. The clients who fight you on it from the start tend to be the same ones who stress you all the way through the project. Charging properly quietly filters them out before you ever start.

So the question is worth asking honestly - what would you charge if you weren’t bracing for a no? by @_benjaminidowu

The hardest part wasn’t deciding. It was the first time we had to say no to work that would have paid us.

We’ve spent two years taking whatever came, different industries, different problems, whatever we could deliver well. It worked, in the sense that we survived. But being able to serve anyone means nobody looks at you and thinks, ‘that’s the person for my exact problem.’

So we picked one. Dental practices in the US. That’s it now.
The honest fear is obvious: what if we turn away business and the niche doesn’t work? Nobody hands you certainty for this. You just decide, and then you find out.

We’ll see how this ends by @_benjaminidowu

At what point does it stop being faith and start being a waste of time?

I ask myself that more than I say out loud. Betting on something that hasn’t proven itself yet. Building toward an outcome I can’t see the end of. Some days it’s hard to tell if I’m standing on faith or just being stubborn.

But maybe that’s the wrong question. Faith was never about knowing it works out - it’s deciding to move before you know. If you needed the certainty first, it wasn’t faith. It was just a safe bet. by @_benjaminidowu

Some steps you take before you can see where they lead. Progress rarely comes with guarantees.

The win isn’t how much you’ve read or planned, it’s what you’re willing to act on before it makes sense. by @_benjaminidowu
