We had to say goodbye to my best friend and first mate last weekend. Kodak has been there with me through it all, on the best, and now worst, days of my life. I am so thankful to have had the last 6 years with him. Every day with him was truly a blessing. He was, and always will be a protector and a guardian angel. Never take a moment for granted with these guys, we definitely don’t deserve them 💔 by @_benwatts

Birthday buck.
Killing a deer is never my ultimate goal in hunting. It’s the process. It’s hunting endless hours pursuing an old beat up warrior like this one. It’s putting in the time to practice shooting to provide the quickest, most humane death possible for a monarch of the wilderness. It’s the time spent enjoying the natural world. The raw beauty and the same creation God spoke into existence in the beginning. It’s all connected. There has never been a time in human history that we did not hunt for our food. It seems like today killing a deer can get pretty repetitive, ordinary, glossed over, and even heartless. I hope it never becomes that for me. by @_benwatts
