A night of powerful contemporary dance solo performance at @af_dar 📌
Mfumo dume
A moving story that depicts the life of a girl who was denied the right to education and forced into marriage at a young age. After enduring the hardships of marriage, her life begins to change, but the death of her husband leaves her without the right to inherit the property. Cast out by her husband's family and with nowhere to go, she is left with one question: Who will stand up for her and fight for her rights?

Hadithi ya kugusa moyo inayoelezea maisha ya msichana aliyenyimwa haki ya kupata elimu na kulazimishwa kuolewa akiwa na umri mdogo. Baada ya kuvumilia magumu ya ndoa, maisha yake yanaanza kubadilika, lakini kifo cha mumewe kinamwacha bila haki ya kurithi mali hiyo. Akiwa amefukuzwa na familia ya mumewe na hana pa kwenda, anabaki na swali moja: Ni nani atakayesimama kwa ajili yake na kupigania haki zake?

Last week, I was able to join the Zorasnake from Cameroon workshop at @muda_africa for the first time. I was able to hold a dance that was out of the box. I was able to do a solo that was able to expand me more mentally. I enjoyed joining your class for a one week and see you again.@zorasnake

[BACK TO] DANCE NIGHT

What an evening of powerful storytelling through movement.

Last week's Dance Night transformed Le Jardin into a stage where every gesture, pause, and movement carried meaning. Through Ego vs Soul and Mfumo Dume, the dancers captivated the audience with performances that were expressive, thought-provoking, and deeply moving.

With remarkable physicality and emotion, the performers reminded us that some stories don't need words—they can be felt through movement alone.

A heartfelt thank you to all the dancers, choreographers, and everyone who joined us for an evening that celebrated the power of contemporary dance.

Ilikuwa ni usiku wa kipekee wa kusimulia hadithi kupitia dansi.

Dance Night ya wiki iliyopita iliigeuza Le Jardin kuwa jukwaa la hisia, ambapo kila hatua, kila harakati, na kila mwendo ulikuwa na ujumbe wake. Kupitia Ego vs Soul na Mfumo Dume, wachezaji walivutia watazamaji kwa maonesho yaliyojaa hisia, nguvu, na tafakari.

Kwa ubunifu wao wa kutumia miili kueleza hadithi, walitukumbusha kuwa si kila simulizi linahitaji maneno—mengine huhisiwa kupitia harakati.
