🐦‍🔥 Once a Phoenix, ALWAYS a Phoenix

Huge thank you to all of our alumni who came out, showed love, and continued to support Renaissance! ❤️ Your presence, energy, and commitment to the school mean more than you know.

This was about more than an event — it was about reconnecting generations, honoring our roots, and continuing to build a culture that our current students can be proud of. The foundation you helped build still matters, and your continued support reminds our current Phoenix family that they are part of something bigger than themselves.

Thank you for coming back home and continuing to pour into the place that helped shape you. This is just the beginning! 🐦‍🔥❤️

ALL credit goes to our girls basketball moms 🔥 They put together an awesome event for us all

#AlumniAppreciation #BuildingTheCulture

Huge shoutout to our sponsors for supporting our alumni event! 🙌🏽❤️‍🔥 @lgeorges6mile

Being a Detroit resident and having the opportunity to pour back into our community means everything to me. It’s always special when local businesses show up and support the people, the culture, and the next generation. 🏙️🤝🏽

We appreciate @lgeorges6mile for being part of something bigger than just an event. Your support helps us continue to bring our alumni together, celebrate our roots, and create meaningful experiences for our community. L. George’s has been the “go to” spot for our students and families for years and it was a huge goal of mine to get together to make things official !

When the community supports the community, we ALL win 💯

Thank you for being part of the vision 🐦‍🔥❤️

Thank you again for making sure all the players were taken care of 🎉 Our players enjoyed Healthy Options with their famous grilled chicken salad and pita bread 🫓 by @_big.ab

Halftime show last night was amazing 🤩 Pistons vs. Raptors. We showcased girls basketball at Little Caesars Arena during halftime! 8,000 folks stayed in their seats & a plethora of NBATV viewers to add. I’m grateful, honored, and blessed.

But….it wasn’t the best part of the night.

God is real and he will show you everytime. This is Audrey , one of the strongest soldiers I know ⏩

#basketball #grief #love #explore

I played AAU with Audrey older sister Alex ! Audrey decided she was going to be a hooper and my girl Alex was bringing her straight to me!

Alex, reached out and connected me and her dad to get things rolling for Audrey….. That was in 2024. We never got the training going , I never got a chance to meet Audrey in 24’.

This is Alex being Alex 😂 Alex used to be shy around folks but when we met as kids but she was the funniest , most joke telling , make you spit your Gatorade in the middle of serious coach talk out type of teammate 😂 Walk past and just whisper something absolutely ridiculous.

This is ALSO Alex being a big sister. Reaching out to get her little sister better, jumping in the fire with her so she wouldn’t have to do it alone , helping Audrey beat some of the shyness way faster than Alex could 💙

My good friend Alex was killed in early January 2026 💔 I lost my AAU teammate and a great friend. Audrey lost her big sister earlier this year.

My good friend is now longer with us physically but spiritually she doing her big 1️⃣ALEX, your dad finally brought her to me 😂

One of my very first teammates. When we met we instantly clicked 💥 Both goofy , both talented , both just loved to hoop !

When we were kids I remember going to a try-out far out (canton , Mi 😂) only like 45 mins from my house at the time but again , I was a kid. Anyway, Alex and I both DOMINATED the try-out and most competition with them , I think it was Blazers AAU🤔 We had so much fun , we joked ALL the time, beat up on folks in practice and games and created a bond. That bond grew and we both jumped ship and started playing for Team Detroit AAU . Those road trip memories, weekend tournaments and just being a kid 💙 🏀 ⏩
