GOOD EVENING FOLKS! We are finally back with another segment of SPOTLIGHT THURSDAY’S on 801SPOTLIGHT brought to you by 801HAMM! Today’s post will be highlighting 801SPOTLIGHT’S first DJ, a good friend of mine who’s been rocking the after party night life with eccentric sets that keep the dance floor moving! I present to you, @_biskocho_

About BISKOCHO, in his own words: What’s up everyone my name’s ALAN aka BISKOCHO. I am a local DJ here in SLC (originally from Colima, Mexico). I started my EDM journey in high-school, when me and my friends would be hitting up shows out in The Great Saltair. This is where I truly fell in love with EDM music, starting off with artists like Tiesto, Skrillex, Gareth Emery, Deadmau5 and Steve-Aoki. I first started mixing about 10 years ago, I had bought a controller and speakers but never really got to interested in djing back then even tho I had all of the equipment to start. What really got me back into the scene was seeing new artist and new genres that were popping up, such as Tech-House, Bass-House and Melodic Techno. My taste in music has evolved with the years but I feel like the artist that really catch my ear at the moment are the likes of Odd-Mob, Omnom, Roddy Lima, Proppa, Bolo, Walker & Royce, Jackie Hollander, Kyle Watson and that’s just to name a few. I started taking mixing more seriously the last couple of years. I really like the idea of being able to mix any song I hear into one of my sets. All of my sets will sound different givin a long enough time frame since I do not like mixing older music that I have for new shows, keeping all of my live sets fresh for my fans! This is something that I love to do and will continue to do for the foreseeable future! I will also be starting to dip my feet in to music production, so stay tuned!! 💫

HELL YEAH BISKOCHO! 👏🏾 You can find his music on SoundCloud >>> Biskocho!

That’s all for today folks, stay tuned for more segments highlighting artists all around Salt Lake City! Thanks for tuning in! by @_biskocho_
