After three incredible months of art and cultural exchange at the JAX District, the Diriyah Contemporary Art Biennale 2026 has officially concluded.

Black Engineering took the lead on the full-scale production of this edition. We handled everything from the initial gallery builds and spatial design to the technical AV integration and wayfinding. Beyond the infrastructure, we supported 60 global artists by managing the fabrication, logistics, and installation of their works.

We were also the engine behind the Biennale’s vibrant public program, producing workshops, talks, screenings, and live performances. On the ground, our team kept things running smoothly with full operational support—from VIP protocol and guided tours to site security and crowd management.

This Biennale was a profound exploration of movement and community. We are honored to have played a role in its success.

A huge thank you to our client, @biennale_sa , for the incredible collaboration. Until the next one! by @_blackengineering_

In the gallery spaces of Palazzo Citterio, Milan, the Uzbekistan Art & Culture Development Foundation presents When Apricots Blossom — an exhibition celebrating the art, craft, and culture of Uzbekistan, one of Central Asia’s most ancient and storied civilisations.

Bringing together artistic traditions, contemporary practices, and cultural exchange, the exhibition invites visitors into a journey through Uzbek identity and creativity.

The exhibition also presents Where The Water Ends — a specially commissioned audio-visual documentary by filmmaker Manuel Correa and architect Marina Otero Verzier. Following Karakalpak communities as they confront the erasure of their ancestral landscape, the film weaves together rituals and public forums to question how shared pasts are reconstructed and which memories endure. A meditation on memory, dissent, and loss in the face of climate collapse.

Black Engineering has been appointed as main contractor and event producer for When Apricots Blossom, responsible for the full production and operational delivery of the event. Communications and international PR by the Crosses.

Over the past year, Black supported the Saudi Ministry of Culture @mocsaudi, through the Architecture and Design Commission @archmoc , on @maghras_ — A Farm for Experimentation, an initiative founded and curated by @saraomran and @lea__lulu.

Rooted in the Al Ahsa Oasis, Maghras evolved into a research hub and community space where artists, architects, and researchers engaged in ongoing dialogue with farmers, craftspeople, historians, and local farming networks, exploring the intersections of ecology, land use, and cultural heritage.

With the practitioners @mohammadalfaraj , Tara AlDughaither @sawtasura and @leenajlan, the curators presented the project at the Triennale Milano KSA Pavilion, and on Sunday, in the presence of @nawaf_ayyaf CEO of ADC, launched the project’s catalogue, a book shaped by seasons, conversations, and collective research. by @_blackengineering_
