Hiiiii Frrrreeennnnnss.

It’s time I re-introduced myself to those who have been here a while and to those who are new, welcome.

I’m Leah. An Aussie mum of two girls, surviving Scottish weather on pure spite and good coffee 🫠

If I’m honest, I’m a boring old fart who likes books, wine and crime investigation TV. The dream is bed by 7 but I punish myself and stay up until “9.15” for that “extra break” and regret it every morning.

3 years ago I was diagnosed with postpartum depression and severe anxiety. I was googling whether it was normal to feel this way at 3am while my tiny baby daughter slept on my chest.

I was also dreading going back to work because it felt like I had no choice. 9 hours in nursery for my kids and 2 hours with me just didn’t sit right in my body, but there wasn’t an option at this point.

I already had started an online business in the high ticket space and I’ll openly say it wasn’t where I needed it to be. I was pushing myself to burnout trying to reach my goal, all while still working my 9-5.

3 months after going back to work following my second maternity leave, I finally looked at a simple subscription business model that a beautiful stranger showed me. I joined straight away.

Fast forward to now. I lead a team of 670+ women (and some men). I have multiple income streams and I’ve been able to leave my 9-5.

I’m not the same woman who wrote that post when I first launched my online business 4.5 years ago. She was scared and hopeful and doing her best with what she knew. Which wasn’t much.

I’m proud of her. But I’m a completely different woman now. Bolder. Stronger. And done caring about what people think of me or what I do. Massive change from someone with zero confidence.

If you’re where I was, struggling and unsure if there’s another way, I see you completely.

Know that there is. I’m living proof. by @_boldly_her

Confidence is a skill set

You’re not born with it.

You learn it like you learn how to walk.

Here’s the 4 steps to creating confidence and changing how you walk;

1. Action - taking action even if it’s messy AF and you zero clue on what you’re doing

2. Evidence - you actually did the thing. It’s a very much a “I did it!” moment

3. Identity shift - you shift because you were someone who committed, followed through, and took action

4. Confidence increases

Rinse and repeat babe. It’s on a loop.

That’s why doing something that scares you, helps you grow. And I love helping women believe in themselves. We are all capable. You just gotta back yourself enough to make that decision and go for it ♥︎ by @_boldly_her

10 things to know about me in no particular order 🩷 by @_boldly_her

What a bargain. 🙃

25 days sounds pretty decent until you start doing the actual maths.

School holidays. Christmas. INSET days. That bloody dentist appointment you can only get at 11am on a Tuesday.

By the time you’ve accounted for actual life, your annual leave is basically an admin budget.

Very generous of them to let us have hobbies too though right?! by @_boldly_her

Selective hearing, apparently.

Whisper “Who wants a biscuit?” and suddenly they’ve got the hearing of a police sniffer dog.

Ask them to get ready to leave the house and apparently I’m communicating in some language this inaudible.

Anyone else’s kids have this very specific medical condition? by @_boldly_her

That’s 1,300 more Mondays?! 😳

Fuck that!

That’s a lot of hours sat in meetings that could’ve been spent having slow mornings with your kids, having a long lunch with your friends and being there for pick up instead of some random.

Imagine having more say over what your Mondays actually look like and not having Sunday night dread.

If you’re googling ways to earn online at 2am Mumma, DM me BUILD or comment below and I’ll show you what I’m doing and how my Mondays are my own👇🏼 by @_boldly_her

It’s just occurred to me.

Everyday it’s “Don’t take sweets from strangers.”

October 31st: “Go on, knock on number 12. They’ve got the good stuff.”

Parenting really is one big exercise in contradicting ourselves, isn’t it? 😂

And the kids are absolutely LOVING this particular loophole.

Anyway, who’s was out trick-or-treating last night and who was sitting in the dark pretending they’re not home? 🎃 by @_boldly_her

What a relief.

I have opinions. Plenty of them.

About money. Careers. Raising kids. Adulting. How women are expected to behave.

And I’m quite happy to say what I think.

But approaching 40, I’ve realised I can have a strong opinion without needing everyone else to agree with it.

You can disagree with me and we can still get along.

I don’t need everyone to think like me, live like me or make the same decisions.

We can have completely different opinions, share a bottle of wine and still have a bloody good time.

Revolutionary, apparently 🤷🏼‍♀️ by @_boldly_her

Plot twist…

I still work. I just changed HOW, and I’m having a bloody good time doing it.

I spent years building a career I could be proud of.

But I wasn’t particularly interested in spending the next 25 years organising my life around someone else’s calendar.

Not when I had to think of school drop off and pick ups, gymnastics at 3.45pm on a Wednesday, the kids having more holidays that were ever allocated. The list is endless.

I still wanted to earn good money, achieve big things and see what I was really capable of.

So I started building businesses online.

Now I get to choose when, where and what I work on.

I still work hard. Because I want the lifestyle we have. I just have a lot more say in what my day to day looks like.

And that, my friends, is my idea of success. 🥂

Well, it’s backfired…

I with out a doubt want to raise girls who have opinions.

Who know what they want, know their worth, speak their minds and aren’t afraid to challenge things they disagree with.

What I hadn’t quite considered was my five-year-old applying these principles to bedtime, getting dressed, brushing teeth, walking to school and absolutely everything else I ask her to do.

I respect the confidence, darling.

I’d just appreciate it if you could stop cross-examining me before I’ve had a coffee and every moment after 😂

But seriously, I want my girls to be kind and respectful.

Not quiet, agreeable little people who grow up thinking everyone else’s opinions matters more than their own.

Anyone else raising the exact personality traits that are currently testing their patience? by @_boldly_her

Rockstar lifestyle!

I do love a good night out.

But I also love getting home at a sensible hour, a dinner reservation at 5pm in my pjs, a glass of wine, and watching someone investigate a murder I have absolutely no involvement in.

Preferably in bed by 9pm. 10pm if I’m feeling risky.

And don’t even get me started on the pure joy of waking up without a hangover.

Honestly, when did staying in become just as exciting as going out?

Please tell me I’m not the only one who’s turned into a 79-year-old woman in her 30s who still feels 25 😂 by @_boldly_her

Aussie women, listen up! 🇦🇺

My spot. Yours? 👀

I won a place worth $2.5K at Amanda McCoy’s epic business retreat in Lennox Head, 12–15 November.

And I’m absolutely gutted I can’t make it but I’m on the other side of the world.

Amanda is a fucking powerhouse business coach who helps women build their businesses through the $0–$10K months.

I’ve had epic results from being in her space, my team have had incredible results and I know how valuable her coaching has been for me.

So rather than let my place go to waste, I’m gifting it to ONE Australian woman (or any woman if you’re up for a trip to Australia) who starts her online business with me this week! 🩷

If you’ve been seriously looking into building something of your own, this could be a brilliant opportunity to learn from Amanda.

Message me RETREAT and I’ll share the business details, what’s included and how the gift works 🫶🏼 by @_boldly_her
