I know I haven’t posted in ages it seems like and I had a hard time even posting this because nowadays people can be cruel and quick to jump to conclusions or judgements.

This year so far has been challenging, surreal and even still a blessing. For those who don’t know back in February my younger sister Brianna was diagnosed with Stage 3 cervical cancer, a year after giving birth to my niece Adonai. I’ve experienced relatives being sick and some have even passed away. But if you know, you know it hits different when it’s THIS close. In times like this people say you have to trust God and have faith, well now that’s really being tested. Being only a state away from my sister it’s been scary to say the least waiting on scans and tests to come back or not being able to comfort her when she’s in pain (it Can be depressing knowing there’s not much you can do and everything is out of your control) Brianna is always saying “Don’t take your health for granted…” and so when i came home to visit I was happy to see her in great spirits and having the energy just to have a little “sister time”. But I know God is in control and will see us through this.

We thought we were almost out of the woods until Briana was let go from her job…only a month after that we learned her cancer came back aggressively. Hearing the hurt and disappointment in her voice crushed me because was a huge pill to swallow (no job meant No insurance) I knew this was A LOT to handle while trying to look after a 1 year old. But thank GOD for my mom!!! Who’s been there every step of the way. I don’t know what we would do without her. I want to thank EVERYONE who prayed and called out Brianna’s name, those who called/texted or came to visit or has supported us through this time..THANK YOU!!! If you want to show support…Brianna now has a GoFundMe. Please share this with everyone you know. Link in Bio by @_brandeefx_
