COACHELLA WAS SO MUCH FUN

The time has come for me to write yet another essay on my experience at So What music festival. It's becoming a bit of a tradition I fear as this is our third year in a row going. I had a lot of fun though and I miss it so much already. My absolute favorite set was Underoath's performance of They're Only Chasing Safety as it's one of my favorite albums ever. On the same day, I finally got to see Silly Goose live and it changed my life. We also saw The Devil Wears Prada but they unfortunately did not play Goats On A Boat. SAD. We saw Silverstein and Mayday Parade too, who I also like.
Day 2 was also great until it got rained out. I was really looking forward to seeing Dying Wish and Asking Alexandria, who were supposed to play during that time, so hopefully they get another chance at some point. Fortunately we were able to see Not Enough Space, Traitors, Mugshot, and a few other bands in relatively cool/cloudy weather earlier in the day. The festival did eventually open back up and we were able to catch Attila followed by Switchfoot and Skillet, which was fun but felt slightly morally wrong. All in all, I would rate this festival a solid 8.2/10.
Also, I did the drawing of the horse on the BeatBox slide. by @_brennis

I went to So What in Dallas this past weekend. One of my biggest highlights was getting to see Forever The Sickest Kids at their kickoff show on Friday. I've been a fan of ftsk literally since I was a kid and it honestly might have been the most FUN show I have ever been to. I was right at the front singing along the whole time. wow💖
I could say a lot about the festival itself. Saw a lot of great bands, some of which I knew, some of which I didn't. I was very excited to see the hardcore bands (particularly Bodybox and Omerta) because moshing is fun. The headliners were great too. I'd never seen The Used before and I've been a fan for literally years. I also saw PTV, SWS, and Neck Deep all for the third time each I believe (You'd think for all the times I've seen Neck Deep that I would've listened to them more by now but I only just started listening to them. oops. I still love them though)
Shoutout to Breathe Carolina, Hellogoodbye, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, 408, Thursday, Slow Pulse, Real Friends, and I Am Destruction because I remember seeing and enjoying those bands. Honestly don't remember who the heck else I saw off the top of my head but they were all great. Shout out to my dad for being there on Saturday. Shout out to Monster energy for giving me way more free drinks than I could've possibly needed. Shoutout to the guy in the fursuit, the guy in the muscle suit, the guy in the Rick Sanchez cosplay, and the guy in the bacon costume who were all present for pretty much every hardcore band performance. Shoutout to Johnathan for throwing fidget spinners in the crowd on Friday.
9/10 would've been perfect if FTSK played Hawkbot by @_brennis
