A year ago today my life changed for the absolute worst. I lost you daddy, a year has passed and I’m still stuck in that moment hoping that you would wake up. Praying that this was one of your jokes. I’ll never understand why I’m forced to do this without you. When I woke that Sunday morning, everything was normal how it should still be. I would have never thought I was suddenly going to lose you that night with absolutely no warning, running to see you on that cold ground will forever haunt me and replay in my head constantly, life changed in the blink of an eye. I’ve always needed you and I’ll never ever stop needing you, I wish with my whole heart that you were still here leading me through life and pushing me to do my best in everything like you always did. I should have never had to carry your coffin on your final walk at the age of 17. Not one of us is old enough to go through life without our role model, and I don’t think we’ll ever understand why it happened to us. You should be here to walk me down the aisle one day, meet my children in the future and to watch me make you proud, the thought of never seeing you again in this lifetime breaks my heart in ways I can’t explain and I’ll never come to terms with it. Whatever I do in life there will always be a missing piece and in every happy moment sadness will linger because I know you aren’t here to see it. You were my rock, my protector, my inspiration and I really do hope you knew that. You seemed to know everything. Whenever I had a problem, a talk with you automatically lifted a weight off my shoulders. You made me feel so safe. This past year when times have been the toughest I’ve found myself thinking of how you would think. You were the most positive person and always believed things would work out in the end and honestly that’s the only thing that’s helped me get through this, following your mindset. And I’m so glad I learned that from you. It’s such a privilege that I get to call you my daddy, I know I will never meet someone as amazing as you again in my life you really were one in a million and I would choose you to be my daddy in every lifetime, always a daddy’s girl, I love you💚 by @_briatonerr
