Last year, Simon and I spent almost three months in the far north of Europe.
I still remember seeing my first northern lights in Sweden about two years ago. It was a small, barely visible green shimmer on the horizon, and I was already completely overwhelmed.
But during our longer stay in Norway, those green giants became more like daily companions—until that one night came, when we were completely blown away by the most intense northern lights either of us had ever seen.

It was an absolute spectacle in the sky. One moment they were glowing green on the far side of the horizon, and the next, this natural wonder exploded in blue, purple, and green right above us.
This time, I happened to be in the right place at the right time with my camera and was able to capture this photo. Probably one of the most beautiful pictures I’ve ever taken—and to me, it looks like an angelic being, standing above us for a brief moment, looking down at us. taken in Andøya by @_brob_
