We put a ZF #8HP70 in a 1JZ 350Z and honestly… this might be the future of transmissions in drifting.

Super simple swap using @turbolamik.us + @domiworks.engineering and the car absolutely rips now.

One of our host became the feature 👀

Powered by a 1JZ and paired with an 8HP70 transmission, Bryan’s build is the result of years of learning, refining, and making upgrades that will push the 350z forward.

This 350Z is not what you’re used to seeing

Going to an 8HP completely changes how the car feels. Not everyone likes driving an automatic transmission, but what if you could still have a clutch pedal and use it like a manual, or drive it as an automatic whenever you want? That’s the beauty of it.

With @turbolamik.us controlling the setup and @domiworks.engineering handling the swap components, everything works together seamlessly 🤞

Smooth on the street for everyday driving, but ready to handle all the power from a 1JZ 🔥 by @_bryan.hq

First real go at a comp this weekend. Made it to Top 32 but got caught out by the rain and a setup that wasn’t right for the patchy conditions.

Still had a really good time and learned a lot. Good battle @natedogg_drifts 🤝

@oswdrift put on a great event and everything was super well organized.

I tried competing in the past a few times and it just never worked out, so it felt good to finally get one in.
