RE:CODE PODCAST 092 | BUBNJAR

Mihael Bubnjar aka. BUBNJAR has been active on the scene for 12 years, with a musical journey rooted in family tradition. Raised by a father who was also a DJ, he learned the craft from an early age through his father’s record collection, absorbing the sounds of Detroit house, underground techno, eurodance, and the trance music of the 1990s and 2000s. Today, every time he steps behind the decks, BUBNJAR proudly preserves and continues his father’s clubbing legacy, passing that timeless passion and energy on to a new generation of clubbers.

Originally from Dugo Selo, he moved to Osijek four years ago, successfully connecting the two local scenes. His résumé includes performances for Underground d.o.o., several appearances at Zagreb’s DEPO club including a notable set alongside Toma in der Mühlen as well as gigs at Pločnik. He has also recorded sets for Enter Zagreb, HRT’s radio show Jezgra on Radio Split, and the student platform Xica Play.

After arriving in Osijek, he quickly became an essential part of the city’s club scene. He has performed at Club Exit, played alongside the REZ collective, and appeared at WARM events with Kolak (DJGK) and Chris Flannigan. He later joined forces with two friends to establish their own collective, V138.

Through his energetic sets, BUBNJAR always aims to tell a story, traditionally closing the dance floor with the club classic “Jaguar.” He has recently channelled his love for analogue sound into the Instagram series Kaj je na mojem vinylu, where he continues the tradition and musical selection instilled in him by his family from the very beginning. by @_bubnjar_

Our first open air has been wild, even the bad weather somehow decided to play along during the night! Big thanks to @pulse___events for hosting us at Beer Garden.

As usual, special shout goes to our guests @balazs_tracks_ and @_bubnjar_ for rocking the crowd, and to all the people who came to support us! 🖤

We hope you had a good time with us and see you soon on the next episode at Club Oxygene in November!

Epizoda nam je osam, a na redu nam je Dave Clarke. Jedna od ikona Techno scene uz Carl Coxa, Rolanda, Jeffa Millsa i mnogih drugih. U sljedećoj epizodi, baziramo se na House te vam onda ostavljam šećer za kraj da zaokružimo ovu "prvu sezonu". by @_bubnjar_
