Most people write duties because that is how the job was described to them. The problem is that a duty can be true and still tell an employer very little about you.

Take one vague bullet and ask:

1. Scope: What did I handle?
2. Action: What did I personally do?
3. Change: What became easier, clearer or better because of it?

You do not need to invent percentages. Honest detail about context, judgement and ownership can make a bullet far more useful.

Reliable businesses do not remove people from the process. They remove the need for one person to remember every step.

Choose one recurring task that becomes difficult when its usual owner is unavailable. Map the trigger, handoffs, decisions and exceptions.

You may discover that a simple checklist solves the problem. If the process happens frequently, software can make its ownership and progress visible.

AI can be really helpful but what is holding it back at the moment is that different models from different competitors excel in doing 1 thing the best. So in order to have a complete 'solution' I often have to combine and use the best parts of the different AI models to create the desired end result.

What would really drive the industry forward would be a one stop model that can do it all well, image creation, voice overs, video generation etc. Right now having to switch to different models for different outcomes in the creation process is a huge pain in the butt!

Is anyone else experiencing this butt hurt?
