calling code orange & life update 🧡🍁🎃

umm so it’s been a WHILE. life got insanely busy from may with finding a job whilst still being on placement. i had a great summer and made so many amazing memories 🥹. i’ve just started my first job as a primary school teacher a few weeks ago which is still so surreal to me. like what do you mean i’m responsible for a class (i can barely look after myself 🤣). my free time for reading is very limited right now but i missed booksta so so much so i knew it was my sign to make a return haha. i’m about halfway through fourth wing right now which OHMYGOD!! all i want to read now is fantasy for the rest of my life.

too late for an april wrap up?? 🫣

last month was actually the best!! i went to prague for easter, booked a holiday with one of my besties, started my final teaching training placement, got bleachers ticket (IM GONNA CRY) AND had my 22nd birthday all in the same month!!💗

i also read and now back to you which i LOVED 🥹!! jackson and delilah are absolutely everything to me. their chemistry was amazing and i loved the whole plot of them presenting the weather together. i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again, bk borison knows how to write masterpieces. new 5⭐️ 🤭

i’m also about 25% into nightshade and i can’t believe it’s taken me so long to read it!! i love the dark academia vibes and the whole mystery element and i can’t wait to see where it goes!! after seeing so many people talk about the cliffhanger at the end of the book, i fear i might end up in a bookish hangover 🤣🤍

sinners anonymous series 🖤🃏🍀☎️

it’s no secret that this series one of my favourites so when i found out it was being TRAD PUBLISHED (SCREAMING) i knew i had to get the new covers 🤭. i will say that as stunning as they are and the fact they have sprayed edges, the indie covers will still always hold a special place in my heart.

i ate up the first three books towards the end of 2024 and then read sinners atone a few months ago and i still think about them to this day. rory and angelo were great but rafe and penny and gabe and wren?! ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. i was fangirling so hard over those two visconti men🖤.

new books and life update 💐💗📚

i feel like it’s been ages since i posted on here😭. teaching has well and truly been occupying my every waking moment but i’ve only got one week left of this placement until its over so i keep telling myself to make the most of it. that being said, i wanted to share some new books i’ve accumulated over the last few weeks. i read sinners atone at the end of last year and read psychotic obsession recently, so of course i had to get the paperbacks for both of those. i’m also slowly getting through first time caller and am enjoying it so far 🥹. i can’t wait to pick it up again and read and now back to you when i have the time. bk borison is quickly becoming a new favourite author for me💗

i’m still over the moon that i own the italian editions of the chestnut springs series and this edition of pwmov, they’ve got to be some of the most beautiful books i own🥹!!

it’s finally half term for us which means more reading time (as soon as i’ve finished my assignment). i’m reading first time caller atm (which i need to buy a paperback of) and am loving it!! i’ve seen so many people say it reminds them of a 2000s rom com and i couldn’t agree more 🥹. hopefully i can finish it in time for and now back to you!! 🤍

new books and january wrap up ⋆ 𐙚⋆°。 ⋆♡

january ended up being a fairly successful reading month! i managed to finish reckless and psychotic obsession and loved both of them. if you know me, reading more than a book in a month with teaching, counts as successful for me haha.

i thought reckless was such a fun read. the chemistry between theo and winter was amazing and i loved seeing a different side to winter from what we saw in the other books. psychotic obsession, however? NO ONE SPEAK TO ME. i have no words. just pain.

i also started heated rivalry (i haven’t finished it yet) and omg i understand the hype now 🤭. i’m making it my mission to finish it asap!!

pwmov movie🌴☀️👙✈️📖

i can’t believe pwmov the movie is finally here!! after reading the book about a year and a half ago and loving it, i was a little sceptical how it would be on screen but OMG IT WAS AMAZING!! 🥹🤍so many of the scenes in it played out exactly how they did in my mind when i read the book. emily and tom did such an incredible job as poppy and alex and i laughed throughout the whole film.

top reads of 2025 and most anticipated reads for 2026🎀

this year has mostly been a very good reading year!! despite originally setting my reading goal to 40 and then changing it to 30 because of a slump, i managed to read 22 books (round of applause pls and thank u) although i didn’t hit my reading goal, i adored (nearly) all of the books i read this year and found lots of new 5⭐️ reads!!

since life is extremely hectic with teaching, i’m setting my reading goal to 20 for 2026. i’m hoping that during school holidays i can read more but i don’t want to put too much pressure on myself. however, i am so excited to read all of my most anticipated reads in the new year - i just know i’m going to love them all!!

one of my biggest targets for 2026 is to let myself read for an hour each day. i’m someone who needs to improve on having a good work - life balance and i’m hoping that by setting this goal i can achieve this 🤍
