Words I’ll never take for granted.

This month has really tested me, and I don’t often post when life gets low, but I think it’s important to acknowledge those who keep you going every now and then. Look around and just breathe, your’e not alone.

Call a friend you haven’t spoken to in a while. Message a family member who’s been asking how you’re doing. I realise we don’t do that enough, especially if our favourite place to be is our own heads. Get out, see someone, go for a walk with a friend. Talk to a loved one.

It really was the friends we made along the way.

“But We’re living in an age of weak swimmers!!”
That’s what they’d say.
But you see you’re not a weak swimmer, you just have poor technique-
So you try to swim.

And maybe you build some muscle over time,
maybe you learn for yourself,
Maybe something ends up working for you!
But it’s silly, because it’s not the formal way of doing things.
It’s not the same way everyone else would do it,
It’s not with a coach, it not with a lifeguard.
But an ocean, and a whole world at you finger tips.
