The times won’t be remembered for a lifetime, but I’ll never forget the teammates, the bus rides, the nerves at the line, and the feeling of giving everything I had. The saddest part about all of this is realizing you’ll never get this exact moment back again. 2x state runner-up, 7th and place in 4x8 at state 2x, Coaches Classic champion, Battle of the Rock 3-peat, Region Championship 2-peat. These accomplishments are more than titles; they show sacrifice, dedication, and discipline to compete at a high level. No matter how hard the early summer runs or brutal workouts were, I would never trade these memories and experiences from my five years of running. I would do anything to run one last lap around the track with my friends that I call teammates. As the finish line dissolves behind me like it was never meant to stay, what remains isn’t victory or defeat, it’s the echo of everything I can’t return to. I gave it my all for the purple and gold. I will forever be a Northwestern Trojan. The chapter ends, but the race doesn’t. Still chasing that feeling, just on a different starting line. Until the next time the gun goes off. by @_cambybee
