👑Happy women’s month 💄 Inspired by Madam C.J. Walker, the first African American self-made millionaire. She came to Indianapolis with a vision. Here, she built the headquarters of her hair care empire, created jobs for thousands of Black women, and proved that beauty could be a pathway to power, independence, and generational wealth. ✅She didn’t just sell hair products, She built a movement. From training Walker Agents to building a three story legendary Madam Walker Theatre Center, her legacy reminds us that when women invest in themselves, entire communities rise. I had the privilege of visiting this historic building! 🫰🏾As a Black woman in the beauty industry today, standing in the same city where she built her empire is powerful. Her story reminds me that we are not just doing hair we are building legacies. This month I honor her & the women who built before me. I accept the baton to build after them. 💕Because every time we braid hair, build a brand, teach the next generation we continue the legacy she started. 😍Madam C.J. Walker walked so women like me could run.
