People often ask me why move back to Singapore... and I’ve realised most people already have a version of the story in their head.

But mine didn’t feel like a choice at the start.

I spent 18 years in Africa and 4 years in London. And when COVID hit, I had just 2 days to pack up my entire life and leave.

No proper goodbyes. No closure. Just... go.

I remember sitting with that feeling-like a chapter of my life ended before I was ready to let it go.

Coming back didn’t feel like “home” straight away. It felt unfamiliar, almost like I didn’t fully belong anywhere.
But slowly, I began to understand something about myself.

Home was never really a place for me.
It was the people | love, the moments I hold onto, and the life I choose to build wherever I am.

And maybe that’s why... this return wasn’t just about coming back to Singapore. It was about learning how to find home again.
