continuing a lifelong tendency to gravitate to the unconventional, peddle in the unexpected, and never quite fit in (or do what I’m told, frankly), I’m excited to share that I’ve been promoted to Creative Director at @pinksparrow_ - a job description I wrote, because being the creative head of a wildly interdisciplinary design studio forged in a fabrication environment doesn’t quite exist.

It’s architecture, just faster and more fun. It’s set design, with the high-end attention to detail of fine millwork. It’s sometimes ephemeral, but requires lasting emotional resonance. It’s everything my sculptor/architect/ theatrical runway show designer/movie set-making heart would ever want.

It’s a real joy to work so closely with the unbelievably imaginative and thoughtful people at Pink Sparrow, where thinking and making are inextricable. I remain deeply uncommitted to a singular way of being a creative, and now I won’t have to. Super thrilled for what’s to come and so grateful to work with the best motley crew in the business! by @_catgm
