This time last week, I was basking solo in a post solar eclipse glow in 30deg temps in a Cotswoldian field near home.

Back in Bristol, I cling to these treasured glimpses and relive the memories, replaying the sensation of the evening sun's still beating rays radiating my face and the aromatic waft of summer hedgerows, as the clouds merge ominously over the city here.

I didn't relish in returning it has to be said and the older I get the deeper living here in this city goes against the grain. My free spirited self is still sitting on that wooden bench looking out to the horizon, hoping for better things to come. by @_catherinemc_

It’s Hummingbird Hawkmoth season in the UK right now, these spectacular creatures have travelled far from across from Southern Europe and North Africa.

Shot this one buzzing energetically around the hotlips this afternoon in the garden back home on my Nikon D7200 with Nikkor Macro Lens (again!) - all freehand.

How incredible are those wings???

Chilled music for those who need a bit of meditation. I would have added own nature track but there was human noise at the time around me…

Edited into slo mo on Final Cut Pro which I’m currently teaching myself.

Summer in the city. Broad Street, Bristol, has that certain special Anglo European element that I really love to soak up. It’s often used for filming locations too. Quick late morning coffee and savoury galette stop at #CafeMarcel was much needed and it delivered.☕️🧀🌞💕

Concert Day!!!!! Sun is out and our venue is looking terrific. Let the magic happen! 🪄

#Bach #StJohnPassion @bristol_beacon is my toughest choral challenge yet as a soprano singer, and am so excited to be here doing this! We are sounding primed and can’t wait to perform later - a culmination of 3 months’ hard work has finally arrived at what we expect to be a blinder of a performance. Singing in another language that’s very colourful but also very hard to master is also a pretty major task! Phew 😰 This one will stay with me for a while.
