Baby girl has finally passed her birth weight after 2 weeks 🥹 I’m so proud of her !

I figured now is a good time to tell the long story short of why bubs came over 5 weeks early:

It started with some pretty sharp pains and chills that lasted all night. I went into hospital early the next morning and had all the checks - everything looked fine at the time, so they sent me home.

Later that day my temp spiked to 39°C, so back we went to the hospital. After more tests and a lot of monitoring, they told me it was appendicitis and started me on all the medications. They were planning an MRI the next morning.

When they monitored baby again in the am, she wasn’t giving them what they wanted to see, so plans changed quickly and we were given 30 mins notice that I was going to have an emergency C-section. I was not mentally or emotionally prepared.

The spinal anaesthesia for surgery wasn’t perfect - it was very uncomfortable/ I could feel them pulling me open, but I was awake for her birth which I’m really grateful for 🤍

I told them to put me under straight after for when they removed my appendix 😅

I got to hold my baby girl after a few hours of surgery/ the anaesthesia wearing off. She’s worth every painful part of pregnancy and birth 🥹😭🩷✨ by @_cathyyin

To my beautiful daughter - thank you for choosing me and your dad to be your parents. I can’t put into words how much I love you and how excited I am to show you this world. Light of my life, my little fire horse, you are so strong 🔥✨
