some core memories of the past 6 months in southwest WA - what a special time!

#westernaustralia #vanlife #travelling by @_celine_roth

November 2025 - An unforgettable month between Exmouth and Margaret River along the coast of Western Australia, spent chasing waves and adventures, laughing, learning, driving, surfing, skating.. and of course eating and much more. What a blessing to be able to share all this with such a legendary woman

Five years of wandering — how does time fly so fast?

It was a Thursday, the 4th of February 2021, when I stepped onto a plane in Switzerland, carrying an immense curiosity for the world and the lives lived beyond what I knew. I told my friends and family I’d probably be back within a year, but never truly knowing how much time I would spend “out there”.

With every passing month, I discovered new corners of the world, of humanity, of myself. And somewhere along the way, I realized how little I actually knew about life. So I kept going. Until traveling quietly turned into living. Every encounter, every challenge, every fleeting moment shaped me — and I became the sum of all those experiences. I realized I don’t need a label, a box, or a category to fit in. I’m not a traveler, not a Swiss backpacker, not anything easily defined. I’m one of eight billion souls, gifted a human experience.

I learned to listen — really listen — to my inner voice, to my intuition. I let it guide me through unfamiliar paths and toward people who taught me kindness, love, patience, forgiveness, and acceptance. Everyone is a teacher, if you’re willing to pay attention to the lesson.

I learned that trusting your heart in the big decisions will always take you where you’re meant to go, even when you have no idea where you’re heading. Choosing yourself, owning your decisions — that’s where a joyful life begins.

Of course, this life is not free of doubt. Will I ever regret my decisions? I don’t know. But as long as I keep listening to myself with honesty, I trust my path.

So remember, life comes without instructions. You are here to design it. And how you live it — that part is yours to choose. So fill it. Deeply. Wildly. Fully. ❤️

|| impossible to recap 6 months of WA in 20 photos, but this is my best try - also considering my phone didn’t really work half the time and I’m the worst when it comes to taking group photos. Definitely met sooo many special people the past few months ||

Only a few moments of the past 7 months living on the Gold Coast with the best people possible 🌞

Returning to the Goldy after 4 months of amazing travels in Asia felt like a warm hug. It was a mission to get the Work And Holiday Visa to be able to spend another year in this beautiful country but I made it work after all and I couldn’t have been any happier when I received the news that my visa was granted.

Many say coming back to the same place a second time is always difficult but for me it felt like the easiest thing ever. It felt like the only right move. And oh boy it was better than I could have ever expected. The family I already have started building while I was there the first time kept growing, the connection kept deepening and the shared adventures kept expanding. Thanks to each one of you to invest in our friendship, sharing your vulnerability with me and teach me soooooo many things ✨ you made the Gold Coast so special, because at the end of the day it’s not the place that’s unique, it’s the people in it🧡

But also I’m forever grateful for the time on the east coast, allowing me to follow my passion for surfing and even ending up working with WSL at one of the CT stops! Starting my podcast which I have been postponing up until then. Finally finding the courage and right environment to push my comfort zone and start finding my storytelling voice - I still have a long way to go, but the hardest step has been taken.

I truly feel like having built roots on the Goldy but after living there for a year (the two times added up) I felt that time has come to continue on my adventure, to keep discovering Australia and many more parts of the world. I left the east coast full of love, strength and support to keep walking this crazy path of mine. My travel mode is back on and I’m excited for the next stories that I will be able to share with all of you.

And yes, I am trying to be more active here on social media from now on - as my friend said, stop being so lowkey and show us the content we all deserve😂🫶🏼

Lots of love for all the people supporting me on my journey and sharing their light with me and the world❤️ by @_celine_roth

|| late recap of our new years trip, which have been the best 10 days in Aus so far || by @_celine_roth

🌞 25 feels good 🌞

Blessed to share my life experience with so many beautiful souls who inspire, motivate and encourage me on a daily basis. I feel truly lucky to live this life, receiving so much love and kind words from all over the world. It’s a blessing and curse at the same time to have people in my life who live close to my heart but far in distance. Nevertheless I wouldn’t want it differently.

A massiv shoutout to my bestfriends from Switzerland who despite me being gone for almost 4 years now still share their thoughts, feelings and stories with me, even if that means staying up super late for a call due to the time difference.

And also shoutout to those good travel friends I made in the last 4 years - our kind of friendship is special, intense and pure. I love how each time we talk our plans look totally different to the last time we’ve updated each other and I love that. You make me feel normal in my rather “chaotic” and spontaneous life.

A massiv hug to my aussie family as well. I was a bit intimidated to settle down, as I have gotten so used to moving around all the time. But you made it sooo easy, you made me not question once if this was the right decision.

Last but definitely not least I’m more than grateful to have a super supportive family who encourage me to follow my path wherever that will lead me. For being proud of having a daughter/sister who doesn’t follow the norm but rather wants to figure out by herself what this universe holds for her.

I couldn’t be doing what I’m doing without all of you - massiv THANK YOU for everything! ❤️

What a precious gift life is. We shall celebrate it everyday, not only on our birthday
