Snippets 🤍 by @_charlmarsh

⬇️

1. Breathwork will be your secret weapon.

2. The smallest movements can be the hardest.

3. You don’t have to be flexible to do Pilates.

4. Progress isn’t always obvious, but you’ll feel it.

5. Consistency will take you further than perfection.

Happy 1st Julyyyyyyy🤠 by @_charlmarsh

Things I’ve learnt in my first year of teaching Pilates🤍
In no particular order…
1. You’ll never feel 100% ready for your first class. Confidence doesn’t come before you start, it’s built through practice and just putting yourself out there.
2. Imposter syndrome is VERY real. Some days you’ll leave feeling amazing, other days you’ll question everything. I’ve learnt to trust my own style rather than chase a “perfect” way to teach.
3. Not everyone will love your classes, and that’s okay. What matters is being authentic and finding the people who connect with your style. You really can change someone’s whole day with one class🩷
4. The learning never stops. Watching other instructors, trying different styles, asking for feedback, some of the most valuable lessons have come from simply asking.
5. Being good at Pilates and being good at teaching it are two different things. Cueing, communicating, adapting, reading the room. I’m still learning every week!!
6. Not every class goes perfectly (questionable playlist choices, IYKYK 😂) and that’s fine. The perfect class doesn’t exist.
And finally, the people are the best part. 🤍 The familiar faces, the little friendships, knowing someone left feeling better than when they walked in.
One year in, still so much to learn, but really proud of how far I’ve come 💌

Little day in the life (day off edition) 🎀🩷 by @_charlmarsh

Sadly, on Friday morning, we lost our boy, our best friend….

Honestly, Our hearts are completely shattered. It was so sudden and unexpected.

Words cannot describe how much pain we are in. He wasn’t just a dog, he was our family, our little shadow, our constant, and such a huge part of our lives. He meant the absolute world to us.
The house feels unbearably quiet without him here. Everywhere we look, there are reminders of him, and the world feels so much emptier knowing he’s no longer in it.
We only hope he knew just how deeply loved he was. From the day he came into our lives, everything revolved around him, and we wouldn’t have had it any other way.
We did so much together. He went everywhere with us, family holidays, walks up mountains and the pubs he somehow always managed to drag us into. (A walk wasn’t a walk without a pub visit to him)

He watched both of the girls grow into adults and was just such a huge part of all our lives. Through the happiest moments and some of the hardest ones, he was always there. A constant. A comfort. Part of everything.

Making the decision to let him go was the hardest thing we have ever had to do. As much as it broke our hearts, we couldn’t let him suffer. We were all there with him at the very end, telling him how much we loved him, holding his beautiful little face, and giving him his final forehead kisses as he slipped away. It is a moment that will stay with us forever.
Thank you for every walk, every cuddle, every laugh, every adventure, and every bit of comfort you gave us. Thank you for being our best friend. Thank you for loving us so unconditionally.
A piece of our hearts left with you on Friday morning, and we don’t think we’ll ever quite get it back.

Thank you so much to Our dog community who we have connected with over the past 6 years. Thank you for giving us a space to over share photos without any judgement 🥹. Thank you for also loving him though you didn’t really know him. by @_charlmarsh
