More Georgia & Istanbul photos 🤍 . Some random notes: there are an abundance of good street doggos and kitties. If it was possible I’d adopt them all. Cafes are open until 11pm (unheard of in Santa Fe). Many people speak Georgian, Russian and English, although the younger generation prefer to use English over Russian. There is an ongoing battle for separation of identity from Putin’s government influence. The people are kind and understanding despite the circumstances. You must pay for ketchup and Tabasco at restaurants. Like Europe, they do not give you free water automatically (this is the most ludicrous thing to my American brain). Grape vines grow from many apartment balconies. Svaneti, near the Caucasus mountains, is like stepping into a fairytale, where Google/Yandex Maps barely functions (rightfully so). The road to Svaneti has some wild parts, that would probably not count as passable in America. But if something happens to your tire, we know a good place to go to in Kutaisi. The 20 hours of traveling back and forth is worth it and I’d do it again. The jet lag is brutal for me but I’m finally recovering slowly. What a beautiful country, with rich history, unreal nature, and amazing food. 10/10, looking forward to going again. . До встречи) by @_chellestial

Maunakea, kuahiwi, ku haʻo i ka malie. Poliʻahu, ka wahine kapu hau anu o Maunakea. 🗻 [Maunakea, standing alone in the calm. Poliʻahu, is the goddess of snows; her home is on Maunakea.] — Mary Kawena Pukui (1983) . When I was young I dreamed of being an astronomer on Maunakea. Can confirm, you can see so many beautiful stars (and satellites) from that high up! Even with the moon almost full I could see more than some people ever see in some cities. And as I’ve grown I realize there is so many things special about the land itself that cannot be seen or captured by our man-made cameras. Mahalo to Maunakea for letting me sit on one of your pu’u for a little while. Mahalo for creating rain and trees and rocks and dreams and space for us little creatures. Mahalo for reminding me that we are all so tiny and here for such a short time. by @_chellestial
an ode to Hawai’i Island. A fun whirlwind weekend trip with fellow ERTH nerds, October 2026. @geoclubmanoa @soest_uh by @_chellestial
What a blessing it is to be so sad to leave somewhere. Four years in Santa Fe, New Mexico, had surpassed my expectations on all accounts. I now have so many life-long friends, skills, and new perspectives about life in the Southwest. No place is perfect, but it was a great fit for imperfect me. I think it’s inevitable that I will return, but if life turns out differently— the land, people, and this moment in time, will always have a piece of my heart. If we crossed paths during my stint in the Land of Enchantment, thank you. Wholeheartedly, thank you, thank you, thank you! 🌞 pc first photo- Kammie :) by @_chellestial
Having a colorful hair moment thanks to @beautybysobe at Chrome Salon ❤️‍🔥 The hair had to make the feed; plus a bonus of other beautiful thaaangs (@bakedinberk 💃🏼, and Peonies from Still Life class). by @_chellestial

too beautiful not to share. Views from the last few days. 1) pink skies outside the pottery studio, 2) a stoplight near our house that I’d never noticed the color of until now, 3) snowy trees along the Chamisa Trail during today’s SAR training. Feelin’ grateful for these small windows of good. by @_chellestial

A long b-roll of some nice moments from two weeks in Georgia 🇬🇪 + one day stop over in Istanbul❣️much of the fun was not captured. But here’s to time with chosen family, khinkali, farm animals living their best lives, Chikhirtma, system of a down, freedom of speech, foggy mornings, trying to act out “elimination”, touristy activities, lateral thinking riddles, kebab, cobblestone streets, passport stamps, and actually good airline food. #tbilisi #istanbul by @_chellestial
we got married peak 2020 pandemic, at an anaheim ducks arena ticket booth, with the lovely @sashasachon as our only witness. we didn’t do anything huge nor take photos, so for our 🖐🏽 year anniversary, we finally did some! cat and dog in tow 🐈🐕‍🦺 Thank you @gabechavezphotography for the fun little sesh and capturing this point in time for us ❣️ if you’re in Santa Fe, hire him for your photos 👀👀👀 @gabechavezphotography by @_chellestial
This year’s expedition was a blast. 🫶🏽 Grateful for our rockstar team and the time I get to spend learning from them— how to be a better teacher, a better climber, a better leader. Grateful to see my not so little cousin(aunty!) and the other super strong, smart, funny gorlies do so many hard and new things. Grateful for the stunning colorado montane and alpine creatures. Grateful for rain jackets and camp food and being able to drive a little bus around like Ms.Frizzle for a bit. Two weeks of non-stop work but it’s all worth it. #team13000 @girlsonrock_ige by @_chellestial
