Self-love post: I’ve been working at twin peaks now for almost a year & I have to say that this job has helped my confidence tremendously. Firstly, I used to straighten my hair EVERYDAY bc I never felt beautiful unless it was perfectly straight. I REFUSED to leave the house if my hair wasn’t done. (I’ve ALWAYS gotten ridiculed growing up for my crazy, frizzy curls) I’ve recently thrown away my straightener & have truly embraced my natural curls for the 1st time ever in my life. I’m learning to love myself, my TRUE self for the 1st time & im loving myself more & more everyday. I’ve gotten so many compliments on my natural hair while at work and so I’ve become more & more comfortable & CONFIDENT. Working here has also encouraged me to love my body & to STOP comparing myself to the other women around me. I’ve been working with ONLY women so of course there’s always gonna be that girl who’s ‘prettier than me’ or has bigger boobs or a bigger butt or a flatter stomach, etc. but we are ALL beautiful in our own ways. I can honestly & wholeheartedly say now that I LOVE myself, I LOVE my body & I LOVE MY CURLS🥰 I just wanted to share bc it just took me way to damn long to realize how beautiful i should of been feeling from the start. by @_chelseamia
