What a blessing it is to now be an Ivy League alumna 🥹🤎

Forever thanking and praising Jesus for all the joy, trials, and opportunities He has given me! I’m so grateful for the AMAZING people I’ve met and all the experiences along the way. I’m especially thankful for my family and their constant support and encouragement.🫶🏽🫶🏽
Younger me would be jumping for joy to know that I’d not only be a Black graduate from an Ivy League school but also become a D1 athlete. Here’s to the many days of stepping on the seal on the way to class, growing in my faith through Christian fellowships, and striving to be the best athlete and thrower I can be on Brown Track and Field.🥳🥳
I’m beyond blessed to continue my journey here in Providence at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. I have tasted and seen the Lord’s greatness, and I know He will carry me through these next four years of med school.

This was one of the most difficult weeks of my life, but it really highlighted the fact that God is my Audience of One, and all of my power comes from Him. God used @theultimatetrainingcamp to show me that my worth is in HIM, not in my athletic skill or the opinions of others. “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.”

I am very thankful for all of the brothers and sisters in Christ that the Lord has intentionally placed in my life this week. The Lord has given us all the strength we need, and I am so proud of all of us. I am overjoyed because I am able to do things I never believed possible and worship God through it all.🤍🤍🤍🤍

A testament of His Grace🫶🏽

So, so grateful to have competed at my last ever Ivy League Heps Championship. This meet feels really full circle for me. I came to Yale my freshman year just to support my teammates. Back then, I only had one legal mark in the hammer throw, 44 meters, which meant I couldn’t make the Heps squad. This weekend, I got the opportunity to compete in my very last Heps, and gratefully enough, it was also at Yale.
Freshman year, it was really easy to feel like I wasn’t good enough. I felt like I had to prove myself as a walk-on, and I honestly thought I’d never get to travel with the team or go to big meets. But looking back now, I can see that the Lord was preparing me for something greater and when it finally happened, it felt that much sweeter! My sophomore and junior year outdoor Heps were also filled with performances I wasn’t proud of, but now I can finally say I earned my very first medal at outdoor Heps: 3rd place with a throw of 58 meters.
It’s so easy to get caught up in the moment and overlook progress, but as I reflect, I realize that’s a 14-meter PR. Praise God! I love this team, and I’m beyond grateful for my coaches. I feel so blessed to be able to do what I love and to see God’s hand in it all 😁😁
