We’ve had quite a few new faces join us recently, so I thought it was about time we introduced ourselves properly.👋🐾

I’m Chlo and this is Arlo...

Together you’ll usually find us exploring the UK, from Welsh Mountain summits and waterfalls to peaceful canal walks, Cotswold Hills adventures and plenty of sunrises that makes an early start worthwhile.🌿

But this page is about more than just the places we visit!

Living with ADHD, Autism, BPD, Depression, Anxiety, OCD, and a history of Eating Disorders can make life feel incredibly overwhelming at times. Getting outside hasn’t fixed any of those things, but it has given me something to focus on. More importantly, Arlo has given me purpose, routine and a reason to keep showing up, even on the days when my brain is telling me not to.💫💕

The adventures you see here aren’t about living a perfect life. They’re often how I cope with the reality of it. The walks, the mountains, the sunrises and the quiet moments all play a part in helping me navigate life and protect my mental health.🫶🏼

So while you’ll find plenty of dog-friendly recommendations, hiking inspiration, and places worth visiting, you’ll also find honesty. The good days, the difficult days and everything in between.🤭

Whether you’ve followed for the hikes, Arlo’s little face, or because something here feels relatable, thank you for being here. We really appreciate every single one of you.🤌🏼

Hi... we're Chloe and Arlo!

Sometimes the things that change your life are the ones you never expected.🐾

After a breakdown, I had to rebuild from the ground up. With Arlo by my side, I rediscovered my love for the outdoors, hiking, and adventure.🥾🌿

Growing up in the Cotswolds, nature was always around me, but it wasn’t until I started over that I truly learned to appreciate it.⛰️

Now, you’ll usually find us exploring trails, chasing sunsets and making memories in our van.🗺️

For a long time, I saw myself as broken, but slowly I’ve started to see just how much I’m growing and healing.🥺

Through therapy, adventures and all the miles explored with Arlo by my side, I’ve found pieces of myself I thought I’d lost.🐾🌿

I’m still learning, still healing and still figuring things out, but my life looks so different to the one I once thought I was stuck in.🫶🏼

Change the narrative. You’re not broken, you’re becoming.✨

There’s something about getting out for an afternoon walk when the autumn sunshine is shining that just makes everything feel that little bit better.🍂☀️

This afternoon was all about enjoying the gorgeous weather, getting some fresh air and letting Arlo and Elsa enjoy a little adventure together.🐾

Watching them happily explore, sniff around, play together and enjoy being out and about is one of my favourite things to watch.🐶

Getting outside like this is also such a lovely way to mentally reset. Taking a little break from everything, getting some fresh air and spending time with the dogs helps me clear my head and focus on the simple things that make me happy. Sometimes an afternoon in the countryside is exactly what I need.🌿

With the days getting shorter and the colder weather commencing, I’m making the most of every bit of sunshine autumn has to offer. The golden leaves, countryside walks and two happy dogs that make me a very happy girl.🥺

Here’s to making the most of these beautiful autumn afternoons while they last!☀️🍁

The mornings are getting colder, the skies are starting to change and autumn is slowly making its way across the countryside.🍁

Over the past few weeks, we’ve watched the sun come up across lots Cotswold Hills, enjoyed peaceful mornings along the canals and explored plenty of little places in between. We've enjoyed golden skies and misty landscapes as well as beautiful moments when the world is still waking up, we’ve been soaking up as much of this season as we can.🐾🌅

There’s something so special about being outside at this time of year, watching the colours change and seeing familiar places look completely different to the previous season. And of course, having Arlo by my side makes every single one that little bit more special.🐶

With autumn now in full swing, we’re beginning to look forward to those crisp, frosty mornings when the grass glistens, the hills catch the light and everything is covered in a delicate layer of frost.❄️✨

There’s something about those cold, clear mornings that makes getting outside feel even more worthwhile...

Here’s to more early starts, lots of fun trails, golden skies and watching the seasons change together.🍂

Slow mornings, gold skies and nowhere else to be but together.🌅🐾

There’s something about watching the sunrise along the canal with Arlo that makes me appreciate the little things. The still water, the wildlife waking up and the quiet moments before the world gets going.💫

No one to go with? Go alone...🥾🐾

From the Welsh Mountains and hidden waterfalls to the Cotswold Hills, Malverns, Mendips, quiet canals and everything in between, some of my favourite adventures have been just me and Arlo. 🌅🏔️

Getting outdoors has become so much more than walking. It’s given me space to breathe, time to process my thoughts and the freedom to explore at my own pace, even on the days when my mind feels a little heavier.🥺

I know going alone can feel daunting, but you don’t have to wait for someone else to be free, share your interests or come along to experience the places you dream of visiting.🫶🏼

The outdoors hasn’t magically fixed everything for me, but it’s given me so many moments of peace, perspective and happiness. Also having Arlo by my side makes every adventure that little bit more special.🐾✨

So take the walk, find the waterfall, climb the mountain and explore somewhere new. Don’t put your life on hold waiting for company. You might discover that your own company is pretty wonderful, too.🤌🏼

This morning, me and Arlo headed out nice and early to the canal to catch the sunrise and film content for a really exciting project with the @canalrivertrust !🎥🌿👀

If you’ve followed us for a while, you’ll know I’m always up early and love getting out with Arlo before the day gets too busy... whether we’re heading up a mountain, exploring somewhere new or walking our favourite local routes, we’re usually out and about first thing!🐾🥾

Getting outside is also a big part of how I look after my mental health and having Arlo gives me even more reason to get out, explore and have something positive to focus on.🥺

Some mornings it’s a mountain summit, other days it’s simply a walk along the canal, but either way it’s time well spent together.💕

We had a lovely morning filming, enjoying the sunrise and making the most of a quieter canal before heading home.🌅Arlo was of course, more than happy to be involved, especially when it meant another adventure with her favourite human!😂

We’ve got something really fun in the works with the Canal & River Trust and I can’t wait to share more with you all soon!🤫✨Keep your eyes peeled!👀
