The walk was coming to an end, so I started heading back to the car! Camera still in hand, just in case something interesting crossed my path.

Well, this time it didn’t just cross… it flew by! 😃🚴🏼‍♂️
Snapped a quick shot as fast as I could and guess what? A few minutes later I bumped into Chris again. @_chriskruk_

Turns out he’s part of an awesome cycling community @gftl.cc that’s all about speed and good vibes. They struck me as super dedicated and friendly right from the start so I thought I’d introduce him (and them) to you too!

Great event put on by @knog // @via_atelier.cc pitting teams to race through the darkening streets in an Alleycat style competition for prizes provided by @rideshimano @lazersport @vittoriatires and @knog // a throwback to the riding we initially fell in love with. Special shoutout to DJ @mooneymike for the energy!

L'Etape du Tour de France 2024

It was a privilege to have been able to race one of the hardest stages in the Tour with 15,000 others - over the 140km course and 4600m of mountains. I battled in the front group flying through all the feed stations without stopping until I ran out of water and sugar. One of the volunteers grabbed me as I was about to roll through another one and started filling up my bottles and handing me food to fill my pockets. As this man brought me back to life, I sobered up to the fact that I was now not going to catch the front group.

As I began my ascent of the last two mountains my breath was taken away by the beauty of this tropical landscape. The sun was unrelenting. I recall a point where I was starting to lose my vision from the heat as I climbed an exposed section of the mountain, praying for shade. The thought of stopping compounded in my mind with every pedal stroke as I fought each hairpin. I pushed through smiling with gratitude for the opportunity to have tested myself against the mountains and some serious mountain goats. It is a privilege to feel the limits of your body through this sport and I am grateful to my friend @yo.roussel at @revelo.cc for the opportunity to race this event. I finished 254 on the day in 5h 30mins and look forward to trying again next year! Unreal event.

The race was a point to point race, so by the end, I was still miles away from home, and pretty broken. I navigated a 90km route home through some beautiful gorges which brought tears to my eyes (as a result of pure exhaustion or wind aha).

It is my privilege to join @yem_london having been elected Head of International Affairs and Partnerships.

I was excited to spend the day at the AGM that was curated to be full of engaging debates and informative workshops, including a panel on the future relationship between the UK and EU with some incredible speakers. Thank you to Mary Honeyball, Ulysse A., and Jean Lambert for sharing their insights on dynamic engagement The event was a true representation of the spirit of internationalism.

Looking forward to collaborating with partners such as, @britishyouthcouncil , @jef_europe , @esu.online , @young_liberals_ , London4Europe, @britishcouncil , @mylifemysay , and others to achieve great things together.
