📍The (not so) Secret Waterfall, South Wales

Have you visited the magical "Secret" Waterfall?

This waterfall is located within the popular Elidir Trail on the outskirts of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons National Park). What makes it secret is that it's not a part of the official trail and can be slightly awkward to get to. When you reach Sgwd Gwladys on the well marked trail, you'll need to carry on off trail and up river for another 15 mins or so.

Good luck and make sure you have a dip!

Llyn y Fan Fawr is one of, if not, my favourite spot in the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park.

Llyn y Fan Fawr is a glacial lake that lies at the foot of Fan Brycheiniog, which is the highest peak over the Western side of the Beacons.

Llyn y Fan Fawr lies 605m above sea level.

Winter whiteouts have arrived.

Day started clear, but that soon changed as I got to the summit plateau of Fan Brycheiniog.

As much as I love bluebird days in the mountains, there's something about whiteouts.
