I took these pictures earlier this month for my birthday and never got a chance to post them. Just looking back at them I can’t help but to think of a garden.

Flowers are DELICATE - they have soft petals and delicate stems, but at the same time flowers are RESILIENT - they bloom in harsh conditions and crack through the concrete. They are GRACEFUL, yet STRONG.

For year 33, I choose to lean into these words more than I ever have 🌸🌻🌼🌹

My love, you make living so much fun. You mean the world to me — but you also make this world mean everything. I can’t picture a life without Chuly. That’s like if pizza never existed. Crazy, right? Imagine that… Wait — I don’t even want to think like that.

You are truly the best friend any man could ask for. The wisdom, gentleness, power, grace, resilience, beauty, sexiness, standard, and love that you carry are unmatched. Thank you for everything you’ve done for me since I was 17 — from how you carried me when I lacked, to now how you carry our son when I’m away.

You’re the best example of what a pillar is — of what a firm foundation is. Thank you for clinging to Jesus and building on Him to keep us strong. I look forward to continuing to build a family with you. I look forward to health and wealth.

Your vows have remained true throughout these 7 years, and for that, I am forever grateful. I owe you my life, so I shall lay it down daily, just as Christ did for us.
