Civil wedding done! 2/3 Glory be to God🤍

Two hearts, one promise, and a love that even oceans can’t wash away.
God has woven our souls together, and today, we say ‘forever.’

Part 1/3 of my wedding ceremonies:

In Congolese culture, the dowry ceremony also known as the “dot” in French is a deeply rooted traditional practice that signifies the formal union of two families through marriage.

The dowry ceremony is a pre-wedding tradition where the groom’s family officially visits the bride’s family to present gifts and negotiate the bride price as a sign of respect and appreciation. It’s not about “buying” the bride, but rather acknowledging her value and the role her family played in raising her!

Two hearts, one promise, and a love that even oceans can’t wash away.

God has woven our souls together, and today, we say forever.

Here’s how to spend the prefect Sunday in Brazil 🇧🇷

1) checking out Feira Da Gloria local market for shopping & amazing food!!

@chezkimberlyfood make sure to check him out 🇨🇩

2) Spending time on the beach, lots of people selling food, drinks, beach chair etc have cash on you. If you pay card double check

3) Fatchia for a late night cap! The drinks at this bar were soo yummy. If there’s a dj playing there’s a small entry free (35R) @fatchia_pizza

5) Looking to switch up Brazilian steak 👀 Shirley had amazing fresh sea food. Portions sizes are small if your dining with a group. 8/10 for the food. @resturanteshirley

Save this for your next trip
