POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

'Youth' movie Directed by @kenkarunaas , who also plays the lead role, Youth is a coming-of-age drama that leans heavily into realism and emotional honesty. The film features @anishma_anilkumar__ alongside a strong supporting cast including @surajvenjaramoodu and Devadarshini, all delivering grounded and natural performances that enhance the film’s authenticity.
Released in theatres earlier this year, the film started as a small-scale project, but quickly gained momentum through strong word-of-mouth and positive audience response. Viewers connected deeply with its relatable storytelling, turning it into a surprise success. Following its theatrical run, the film’s OTT release helped it reach a wider audience, where it continues to receive appreciation for its emotional depth and simplicity.
At its core, Youth is a coming-of-age journey that explores themes of first love, friendship, family pressure, and self-discovery. Instead of relying on heavy drama or cinematic exaggeration, the film focuses on everyday moments—awkward conversations, silent struggles, small joys, and emotional realizations. This grounded approach is what gives the film its soul.
The music, composed by @gvprakash , adds an extra emotional layer, blending perfectly with the film’s tone and enhancing its nostalgic, feel-good atmosphere. Technically, the film keeps things simple yet effective, allowing the narrative and performances to take center stage.
Critically and among audiences, Youth has been praised for its honest storytelling, relatable characters, and warm, nostalgic vibe. While some noted its familiar storyline, the film’s strength lies in its execution and emotional connection, making it a memorable experience.
In essence, Youth is not about being extraordinary—it’s about being real. It’s a film that feels like a reflection of our own lives, reminding us of a time when everything felt new, confusing, and beautifully uncertain.

THE FLIP SCENE.🫶🏻💥: Malayalam classics, reintroduced by the new school.

The Flip Scene brings the nostalgia of evergreen Malayalam classics into the raw, stylish energy of Malayalam hip-hop. With Dabzee, Baby Jean, Fejo, ThirumaLi and Gabri reimagining familiar favourites, this feels like the kind of musical crossover that connects the memories we grew up with to the sound of today.

Old-school soul. New-school swagger. Familiar melodies, a whole new attitude.

The classics are back — but the vibe is different. 🔥

@surajvenjaramoodu as Dileep in Jailer 2🔥

From making us laugh to making us cry, Suraj Venjaramoodu has been a part of so many memories growing up.

And now, seeing him step into the world of Jailer 2 as Dileep — with that look, that silence and that menacing presence — feels incredibly exciting. We’ve seen so many shades of this actor, but watching him embrace a character on the darker side is a whole new thrill.

Suraj is one of those actors I’ve always loved watching. And now, I can’t wait to see what he does with Dileep. If that character glimpse is anything to go by, this might be one of the most exciting performances to look forward to.

From the man who made us laugh to the man we might have to fear. What a transformation. 🔥

I like films that stay with me through their characters. Aasha did exactly that.🎬❤️

What stayed with me wasn't just what happened, but the people behind it—their fears, their ego, their love, their anger, and the way one small emotion can slowly turn into something much bigger. Aasha feels painfully human because she isn't easy to understand; she can be loving and controlling, vulnerable and stubborn, right and wrong at the same time.

And Urvashi… what a performance. She doesn't just play Aasha; she makes me feel everything happening inside her.

For a debut, Safar Sanal creates a world with a surprisingly distinct voice. The writing keeps playing with our idea of who is right and who is wrong, while the cinematography, editing, music and sound design quietly build that uneasy atmosphere around the characters.

I walked out of the theatre with the film still somewhere in my head.

The credits rolled. The characters stayed.

That's what Aasha was for me. ❤️‍🔥

There are moments when a movie becomes more than something you watched. It becomes a feeling you carry out of the theatre.

That’s what Baththa was for me.

It made me laugh at the right moments, think about the things beneath the story, and eventually brought tears to my eyes. And when the credits rolled, I walked out with that rare kind of satisfaction—the feeling of having spent a few hours exactly where I wanted to be.

This is what I keep going to theatres for. To sit in the dark, watch a story unfold on the big screen, and let cinema take me wherever it wants.

Baththa gave me every emotion I look for in a film. And once again, it reminded me why I love cinema this much.

Kollywood is healing. ❤️🎬

Disco Mood!!👊🏻😮‍💨🔥

That trailer was a whole vibe. 🔥

Ullas Chemban seems to be taking Disco into a completely different visual world — stylish frames, slick cuts, striking characters, guns, action and an international flavour that looks absolutely made for the big screen. After Anchakkallakokkan, this feels like a bold step into something bigger, crazier and much more stylish.

And those cuts? Kidiloskiii!!!👊🏻🔥
The kind of trailer that doesn’t just make you curious about the movie — it makes you want to sit in a theatre, turn the volume all the way up and experience it on the biggest screen possible.

Disco is already looking like a proper theatrical experience. November 6 can’t come soon enough. 🎬🔥

Rashmika imitating Vijay’s new character is the kind of little thing that makes love look even more adorable. ❤️

With Ranabali bringing them together on screen as a pair, watching her effortlessly imitate him feels like a glimpse of the kind of playful love they share off screen too.

Because when you love someone, sometimes you don’t just admire them…
you start carrying little pieces of them with you.

Imitating the person you love… that’s a love language too. ❤️

Director Basil Joseph💎❤️

Basil Joseph is one of the most refreshing directors in Malayalam cinema today. What makes him special is his ability to blend entertainment with genuine emotion, warmth, and humanity. His films never feel artificial or overdramatic—they feel alive, relatable, and deeply connected to people. No matter the genre, Basil always focuses on characters and emotions first, which is why audiences connect so strongly with his storytelling. 🎬✨
With just three directorial films, Basil has already shown incredible range as a filmmaker. Kunjiramayanam became a cult favorite for its wholesome humor, memorable characters, and beautiful village atmosphere. Then came Godha, where he shifted into a sports drama filled with motivation, emotion, romance, and feel-good energy. And with Minnal Murali, Basil created history by delivering a rooted Malayalam superhero film that gained appreciation across India and internationally. Instead of copying western superhero styles, he made the story emotionally grounded and culturally connected, which is exactly what made it special.
What truly inspires me about Basil Joseph is his passion to constantly evolve and try something new. He proves that cinema can be entertaining while still carrying heart and sincerity. His journey from a young filmmaker with simple ideas to one of the most loved directors in Mollywood is honestly inspiring. And the best part is—it still feels like he has so much more magic left to create. ❤️🎬

FaFa🫠

From a man struggling to hold himself together to a man who could make an entire crowd believe.

Fahadh Faasil’s Viju Prasad is more than a character transformation — it is a complete metamorphosis. The pain, the desperation, the confidence, the madness and finally the fall… every stage feels different, yet you can still see the broken man underneath Joshua Carlton.

This is Fahadh Faasil at his most magnetic — not just playing a character, but slowly becoming one. Trance is a performance you don’t simply watch; you witness it taking over.
