πŸ‘¨πŸΎβ€πŸŽ“πŸΎ {Graduation Pt.2}

Although it was a short two years, I will never forget my time at William Paterson. This journey was not an easy one by far. My first year of college whooped me. Online classes during covid made it difficult for me to grasp the material and it was unforgiving. When transferring from FDU to PCCC after a year, none of my credits transferred, forcing me to restart. Graduation at that point felt like a dimming light in a never ending tunnel.

But I persevered.

To my parents:
Thank you for being the support and guide that I desperately needed, even when I didn’t want to hear it. There were several times that I wanted to quit and seek another path instead but you didn’t let me. You pushed me along on a path when I sometimes couldn’t push myself and were there for me every step of the way. I hope I’ve made you proud.

To my siblings:
I hope you are able to use me as a guide as you continue your higher education. I pray you will not make the same mistakes I did but instead, learn from them to make your experience much smoother.

To my friends:
Two years ago, I was just a transfer student who didn’t know anyone and was prepared to leave not knowing anyone. Instead, I was welcomed to open arms and smiling faces. Now I can leave here knowing that I can call mere strangers from a couple years ago my closest friends. I cherish all the memories that were made and I look forward to making many more.

You have all made a huge impact on who I am as a man today and for that, I’m grateful. But the job’s not finished.
