As a coach, there’s a level of expectation that you walk the talk you put your members through.

The standard I hold for myself is one that will not stand for hypocrisy.
With what has happened to me in the last 6 months has rocked me so deep, I truly lost myself. Lost my purpose. Self worth and identity. And when I see my body perform, all I see is the girl who had to carry so much quietly.

Being the face of a new gym, comes with a weight that I carry on my shoulders. One that someone recently reminded me how heavy that load is to carry.

In this season of me, I’m walking along side you. Not in front, not behind, but beside because I’m starting again as well.

Just because I don’t run a 3:30m/km or run a casual 10km for fun, doesn’t mean I am any less than as a coach who can still serve and educate.

This is for my other coaches in their in between seasons. The coaches who still have to turn up with the smile while battling the same battles the clients are.

Honestly what is this life 😭

6 months ago I left my job with no game plan at all.
And now we’re here. Opening my own gym with a team who whole heartily believes in the kaupapa and I actually can not fathom how this year has turned around 🥹🤍

Words can not express how grateful I am for those who have supported me from the very beginning, before this gym was even a thought or idea.

We’re finally home 🏡😫😭🖤

It started in a race.

A group of us lined up at Hyrox Auckland 2026 and something clicked. The grind, the people, the feeling of doing something hard together. We didn't want that to end.

So Oshan did what any sane person does... brought it up to her husband in the kitchen one random night.

"How cool would it be to open our own gym?"

The rest is history. The right people found their way to the table, the vision got bigger, and now here we are, so close to opening the doors.

THC isn't just a gym. It was built from a feeling. And we're building it so you can feel it too.

When I said, “surely the second half of the year has to be better”

It really has flipped a full 180 from what the start of this year provided. 💀

To leave because you felt that there was no other choice…….. to creating my own gym (with my team) 😭🖤

There’s so much to my story that I haven’t shared yet. Maybe one day.

But for now, I’m just so truly grateful to be here 🖤
creating a space and a home for those who felt misplaced, out of place, and felt stuck in a place that had no soul.

New purpose 🖤 new vision 🎯 new home 🏠
