I would like to take a minute to talk about the biggest part of this show — Jenny Rosen.

@jennyr0127 is our writer, and honestly, she's the reason any of this worked. Before there was a set, before there was a cast, before there was a single frame shot — there was Jenny, alone with the page, building this world from nothing. Every character choice, every twist, every quiet moment that hit exactly right — that's her. That's not something you can fake or shortcut. It comes from a real, genuine love for the story she was telling, and you can feel that in every single episode.

Every time I carried that script onto set, it wasn't me carrying the story — it was Jenny's words carrying me, and carrying the whole team with it. I was just the translator, turning her pages into something the camera could hold. Any emotion you felt watching this show, that emotion started with her.

I've worked with a lot of writers in my career. Jenny's attention to detail is on another level — she doesn't just write scenes, she builds people. She gave the cast something real to hold onto, and she gave the crew something worth showing up early for. That's why this show found its audience and kept them coming back. That's all Jenny.

Jenny, I don't say this lightly — this show doesn't exist without you. Thank you for trusting me with your words, for the countless hours you poured into this, and for writing something that mattered.

If you loved this show, you loved Jenny Rosen before you even knew her name. Go show her some love. @jennyr0127

I’ve been working in film and television since 2005, when I was a production assistant in South Carolina. I landed that first PA job through a couple of producers I met while bartending — they were in town filming a movie, and that one connection changed the entire direction of my life.

From there, I worked my way through half the country, on major film productions like The Dark Knight, Public Enemies, and Spider-Man, and on television shows like Modern Family, The Newsroom, and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. I learned from some of the best people in the business, and I am endlessly grateful for every one of those opportunities.

I also met my life partner through work in the film industry, and together we’ve created the best work of my career. For that, I will forever be grateful.

It’s only been in the last couple of years that I’ve been directing and shooting in this format, and I have never been happier working in film and television production.

Thank you to @snowstoryproductions for giving me the chance to create for you. Thank you to @altatvapp for collaborating with me. Thank you to @jennyr0127 for creating such a love story for this to make it to the screen. I am blessed to have worked with you each and every time. Thank you to @megbush_ and @jacksontiller__ ,and the rest of the incredible cast, for building a world so many fans have watched again and again — and clearly loved.

To every member of the crew: without you, none of this would be possible. Long days, endless work, and never once phoning it in — you are the real reason these shows even make it to the screen.

To everyone in the industry who grew alongside me — thank you for pushing me, teaching me, and teasing me along the way. I wouldn’t be who I am today without the impression you’ve left on my life.

Thank you.

These directors pioneered vertical filmmaking. 🎬 They've worked on sets for nearly every major microdrama app. Experience is here, people. #snowstory #verticaladvice @austinherring @kristensreality @japars @_coco_beware_

Vertical Dramas and format is not smaller tv.
It’s a completely different experience.

Is there something you like better about the vertical format more than traditional TV?

One of the biggest mistakes I see on set is giving too many notes.
Actors don’t perform notes.
They Perform actions.
What’s the best direction you’ve ever received—or given?

The most expensive phrase on set might be:

“Going Again.”

Sometimes another take is exactly what’s needed. But more often than not, the real solution is clearer communication, stronger preparation, and faster decision-making.

Great productions aren’t built on endless takes.

They’re built on trust.

What’s one thing you’ve learned/seen from a great director?

"If it hadn't been for verticals, the whole industry would have cleared out in a much more dramatic way." −Austin Herring, CEO

Marketplace just dropped a story on how vertical dramas are putting Hollywood crews back to work, and Snow Story Productions is featured front and center. Kristen Brancaccio and Corey Gibbons share their experience and perspective on a format that's changing everything.

❄️ Five series a month. Real sets. Real jobs. Real momentum.

Thank you Collin Friesen and Marketplace for telling this story the right way. https://bit.ly/4f41RkJ

Sometime you just have to do it. It’s been over 20 years I have done an audition, last being for Jaime Foxx’s biopic Ray. And yeah it didn’t pan out. So here’s me, not taking myself seriously. Kudos to all you selftapers.
