Taking each moment in.

Today, let’s make the decision to truly pause and be still… feel each moment. To feel the sun on your face and the breeze in your hair.

Being still isn’t about the absence of movement; it’s about presence—pausing long enough to receive all that God has for you.

For too many years, I lived in fight-or-flight. Now, I’m intentionally calming my nervous system, gently reminding my mind and body that it’s safe to slow down.

Let’s retrain our minds and bodies to slow down, one breath and one moment at a time.

Don’t neglect what’s hidden.

Today I spent some time tending to my plant babies. A few needed bigger pots, some needed fresh soil, and two had tiny mites that had to go!!

The first thing I always check is the roots. Roots are the most vital part of a plant. They determine its health, strength, and ability to grow. I can tell a lot about a plant just by looking at its roots.

As I worked, I couldn’t help but think about the roots in our own lives.

When was the last time you checked yours?

Sometimes we get so focused on what’s visible that we neglect what’s underneath. But healthy roots require attention. Sometimes we have to get messy, dig deep, and deal with what’s been hidden for too long.

Our roots reveal where our lives are headed.

So here’s your reminder today: don’t neglect your roots. Nurture them. I don’t know about you, but I want to be fruitful and produce all that God has for me!

Sunday resets are supposed to refresh the soul.

This Sunday, I decided to hand out small bouquets for free. One thing I love about flowers is the way they instantly bring smiles to people’s faces.

When I arrived at the park and started getting ready to hand them out, I immediately got nervous. For a moment, I almost talked myself out of it….

The moment I gave away the first bouquet, the smile on this lady’s face was priceless. It filled my heart with so much joy to know that something so small could brighten someone’s day.

When God says, “You are the light of the world,” this is what I believe He means. As Christians, we are called to carry the light of Jesus, and that light should impact the world around us—whether through big gestures or small acts of kindness.

Sometimes the ride to your blessing feels like pure chaos…

I went to Napa a couple of years ago, and I remember so vividly how bad the Uber ride from the airport was. The driver kept slamming on his brakes, jerking from lane to lane… just a horrible experience.

But once I finally made it, I realized that uncomfortable ride was definitely worth it.

I say that to say… the road to our destination will not always be smooth. There will be bumps, curves, and moments where you feel frustrated. But God never promised us an easy life — He promised He would be with us every step of the way.

“Nothing worth having comes easy.”

So stand strong on whatever bumpy road you’re on. Trust me, the destination will be beautiful.

Ever been too comfortable in the wrong place?

I found a ladybug in the restroom and carried it outside to a plant. But instead of getting off, it kept crawling back onto me. I literally had to push it away.

It reminded me of us sometimes.

We get comfortable in places and relationships that feel familiar, even when they aren’t where we’re meant to grow. And when God tries to move us, we resist because change feels scary.

But the very thing we fear letting go of may be exactly where God is leading us.

Don’t be afraid to release what’s comfortable.
God will always plant you where you’re meant to flourish.

The pain wasn’t your fault, but the healing is YOUR responsibility.

People often think healing looks like some grand awakening with perfect clarity and vision… but honestly, it doesn’t. Healing is being given a choice. A chance to finally see what you couldn’t see before. A chance to choose differently.

The line between past hurts and new life is thin. Sometimes we become so comfortable with what we’ve been through that we forget God has something far greater planned for us than the pain we settled in.

Healing is a process. And the first step is acceptance.

Today, I encourage you to open your heart and allow God to heal the places you’ve been protecting for too long. ☕️

The storms of life will blow.

I have always been fascinated by palm trees. Their unique build is so interesting to me.

A palm tree is one of the only trees that can bend all the way to the ground without breaking. The strength of its trunk can endure and withstand any storm. And with every storm and every bend, its roots grow even stronger.

It’s kind of crazy because this is exactly how God designed us. We will bend, but we will not break. Yes, storms are hard and rough, but we will always come out stronger, better, and more resilient than before.
