What a way to start AFCON, really glad I paired up with @noahs_cycling and @daniel.cycles in the team sprint. This was another dream that’s come true. Thanks to everyone who’s always been there for me and supported me through everything. This one deserved its own post but more racing updates will come. by @_conhawkins

African Champs 26 🇳🇬

Nigeria was an experience and a half. With Visa issues before we had even left, our management had a big task ahead of themselves. No matter the problem, they always got what we needed, so we are extremely grateful for them. Really chuffed to take home an African title especially considering it was my first Afcon and in terms of other results I achieved some 4ths and a 7th which I’m also really happy about. Outside of racing we had an entertaining time. Really glad I was apart of such an awesome team and we definitely made some awesome memories from our countless orders off Glovo and to the midnight fufu, Nigeria won’t be forgotten! Lastly I would like to thank my parents for making this trip possible and to @james_swart_ for all the things you have help me with, you really have helped me so much, so thanks 🙌🫡 taken in Abuja by @_conhawkins

Dreams turn to reality.
As a little boy I could only dream about racing for South Africa. But today I’m not such a little boy anymore and this dream is a reality. On Sunday I leave for Nigeria to race at African Champs. Words can’t express how grateful I am. I would also really like to thank my parents for helping me reach this dream, and same as the rest of my family and friends. Now it is time to make little me proud. by @_conhawkins
