Ive been enjoying all the David Lynch content in my feed this week. Still shocked at the news. I just remembered this sketch I made of Leland Palmer and Bob, while hooked on Twin Peaks a long time ago. I’d say this was around 2009? I’ve been thinking a lot about the importance of an artistic practice, and what it does for the soul. Thank you, David, for sharing your vision, your joy and kindness with the world. RIP

When you’re lost in the darkness, look for the light.
This one was tricky! I was nervous to do it because I usually focus on the eyes, but it came out better than I anticipated. Gotta rep one of my fave shows from the year, The Last of Us! Happy Halloween, everyone!

It’s with a heavy heart that I write that I had to say goodbye to my dear sweet Bonnie 2 weeks ago. I’ve always had a hard time with goodbye, especially for those I love so dearly. Bonnie was the best dog I could have ever had.

I recently read of the term ‘soulmate dog,’ and I truly believe she was my soulmate. I worked so hard to include her in everything I did, because to me she was perfect. She was so patient and so incredibly loyal. She never really acted like a dog. To me she was more than a dog, she was my best friend, my baby. She was there for me through so many difficult times, especially within the last few years. It’s been hard to adjust to not having her at my side, while I work or go for walks. Not having her to share meals with, or to come home to.

She loved long walks through the city, swimming and jumping in bodies of water, especially when it was cold out, camping, partying with her people, flirting with tough dogs like pits and mastiffs, eating pizza crust, begging for treats at coffee shops and beer distributors, grooming her hoomans’ hair, rolling in the grass and snow, and most of all being part of her pack.

She was so beautiful. I miss her expressive eyes waiting for me to take her for a walk or feed her chicken. I’m so thankful for every day I had with her.

I will always love you my sweet girl. No dog can replace you. 💔
