A @diy_artclub paint-by-numbers motif that I picked up again recently — and there’s something ridiculously satisfying about filling in all those little sections and suddenly seeing the whole picture appear. ✨

Not my usual watercolour style, but I really enjoyed this one! Can’t wait for the next one to arrive 🥳. Also used my easel from @meeden_art_supply that was gifted to me from my beautiful husband ❣️

Still creating… just not always posting. 🤍

I’ve been a little quiet around here these past few weeks, but behind the scenes the creative spark is still very much alive. ✨ I’m slowly trying to get a little more active again — sharing the things I make, enjoying the process and not worrying too much about whether everything needs to become “content”.

Starting with this little birthday card for a very dear friend. Super simple, super fun and made with a @schlichtbunt stencil + the prettiest @alohawatercolors . 💙💜

One letter.
A few flowers.
A whole lot of love. 🌸

This personalised nursery painting was created for a dear friend, and I wanted it to feel soft, timeless and full of warmth.

There’s something incredibly special about creating artwork that becomes part of a family’s story. Knowing this little piece will hang in a nursery and be there for quiet cuddles, bedtime stories and precious memories is one of the greatest gifts an artist can receive.

For this piece, I painted delicate florals around a shimmering gold monogram using the amazing pigment liner from @staedtlerau a selection of colours from the beautiful new set @alohawatercolors - The soft pinks, earthy greens and the stunning gold were the perfect combination to bring this design to life.

I hope this little painting will grow alongside its newest little owner and always be a reminder that they are surrounded by love. 🤍

Sometimes, it’s nice to create without anyone knowing it’s you.

No expectations.
No pressure.
Just the artwork speaking for itself.

That’s exactly what makes the @incognitoartshow so special, and I’m incredibly grateful to have been part of it this year. 🤍

I submitted three pieces that hold a little piece of my heart, and now I simply wait, wondering if they’ll find a new home.

Whether they do or not, I’m already so thankful to have been part of something that celebrates creativity, generosity and the incredible power of art.

For some women and men, the road to becoming parents is long and incredibly hard.

Every single month, as we get older, we worry about declining egg quality, sperm health, and time slipping away. It becomes all-consuming.

I’ve been tracking my cycle, intimacy, ovulation tests, pregnancy tests, and symptoms in an app on my phone for three years straight.

Obsessive? Yes.

Necessary? Also yes.

And then a faint line appeared, hope was growing in my heart but my mind tried to stay rational. I tried not get too excited. With ever walk to the bathroom, nerves got tense, expecting to see blood. And then one night, there it was…. Blood, just a lil bit, but deep down I knew we will have to go through all of it again.

So I’m thinking, when do I stop? When do I let it go?

People often say, “Just relax. Stop tracking. Everything will work out. Maybe loose some weight. Take some vitamins. Don’t think about it and it will happen.” But how do you let go of something that influences almost every part of your life? What I drink, what I eat, what medication I take, how I exercise, and the decisions I make every single day all revolve around one hope.

How do I simply live when it feels like I’m racing against a clock?

It probably sounds dramatic to some, but it’s the reality for so many of us.

Every month we wait to test. We pray. We search for the tiniest sign that maybe this is our month. Every sore breast, every twinge, every mood swing, every wave of nausea or fatigue fills us with hope… until it doesn’t. Then we grieve, pick ourselves back up, and begin the cycle all over again.

It’s a battle so many couples quietly fight every month.

And we’re tired.

If you’re navigating infertility or pregnancy loss, please know you are not alone. I’m always here to listen.

I don’t know why this has been my journey. But I do know this: if sharing my story helps even one person feel seen, heard, or a little less alone in their own battle, then I’ll keep sharing.

No one should have to carry this kind of grief in silence. 🤍

A little coffee, a little creativity, and a palette full of beautiful colours. ☕🎨

This cozy coffee illustration was created by following one of @alohawatercolors ’s tutorials on her YouTube channel using her gorgeous handmade watercolours.

One of the things I love most about tutorials is that they allow me to slow down, learn new techniques, and simply enjoy the creative process without worrying about perfection.

It’s swatch time 🥳

There’s something magical about seeing a palette come to life for the very first time. ✨

Today I finally swatched the beautiful Wabi Sabi collection from @alohawatercolors , inspired by the soft, earthy colours and quiet beauty of Japan. 🇯🇵🎨

Each colour feels thoughtful and intentional, from delicate muted tones to rich earthy shades that seem to tell a story of nature, simplicity, and finding beauty in imperfection.

As I painted each swatch, I couldn’t help but imagine peaceful Japanese gardens, weathered wooden temples, misty mornings, and the gentle reminder to slow down and appreciate the beauty around us.

And as always, opening an @alohawatercolors parcel is an experience in itself. Every order is packed with so much care and love, and the little surprise goodies tucked inside always make me smile. 💛

🩵 Got so excited to see a package from @alohawatercolors at my door step🩵

The beautiful Wabi Sabi set finally arrived and it is inspired by the soft, earthy, and beautifully perfect colours of Japan. 🇯🇵🎨

And honestly, one of my favourite things about ordering from Aloha Watercolour is that every parcel feels like receiving a gift from a friend. 💛 Every order is packed with so much care and love, and there’s always a little surprise tucked inside. The extra goodies are never expected, but they always make opening the package feel even more special.

✨ Back to painting, one number at a time. ✨

Could you have guessed? It’s a pictures painted by numbers. I’ve never in my life knew that painting by numbers could look this beautiful. But this kit from @diy_artclub became so much more than a painting project for me.

After months of not picking up a paintbrush, I wasn’t looking to create a masterpiece. I was simply looking for a way back to creativity.

There was something incredibly therapeutic about sitting down each day, focusing on one small section at a time, and slowly watching the image come to life. No pressure. No expectations. Just paint, colour, and the simple joy of creating.

What I love most about this piece is the emotion it captures—the warmth, connection, and intimacy between two people. The rich earthy tones against the deep blues create such a beautiful contrast, and seeing it come together stroke by stroke was incredibly rewarding.

Sometimes creativity doesn’t have to start with a blank canvas. Sometimes it starts with following the numbers and trusting the process.

And sometimes that’s exactly what you need. 🤍

✨ 9 projects, countless lessons, and a little piece of my creative spark found again. ✨

I’ve been joining @thehappyevercrafter #WorkshopWeek since the very first one in 2021, and every year it reminds me why I love creating.

This year felt different.

After experiencing my second miscarriage, I found myself stepping away from many of the things that usually bring me joy. I hadn’t picked up a paintbrush in months, and for a while, creativity felt very far away.

Then Workshop Week came along.

What started as “I’ll try a workshop or two” turned into completing 9 projects and, more importantly, reconnecting with a part of myself that I’ve been missing. It wasn’t about creating perfect pieces. It was about making space to play, learn, experiment, and simply enjoy creating again.

These projects represent more than just techniques I learned throughout the week. They represent small steps back toward creativity, healing, and finding joy in art again.

A huge thank you to Becca @thehappyevercrafter , the instructors, @artbylisma @snooze.one @sarahdandelioncray @sarahstyledesigns @ali_kay_studio @letteringbykaren @lilyroseburgess @chaoslife_lbc and this incredible creative community. You’ve created something so much bigger than a week of workshops. For me, this week was exactly what I needed.

And for the first time in a long time, I’m excited to keep creating. 💛
