Zack Husky posing for the lens at #nordicfuzzcon earlier this year! ❤️🤍💙

I still miss #NFC so much, both my fingers and camera lenses were frozen the whole time, but I got some amazing photos and memories of the whole thing! You can't see it with Instagram compression, but there are specks of snow falling in the background in the full resolution, it's very gorgeous. 🇸🇪

I also got to meet my favorite fandom photographer, @vlacek.photo and thinking about that makes me so happy. Go check him out, he genuinely does some of the fandom's best work. Thanks again for your stickers! 😇

And one more thing. If you ever wonder why I chose a particular song, listen a little closer. The lyrics are rarely random. Sometimes the song is the message, whether it's about money, love, a relationship, or something specific. 🫂

The gentle Lucius goat saying hello. That's what's great about a photo. They preserve the moments when we are simply ourselves, unaware of how beautiful we might look to someone else. 🐐💚

You may have mistaken my absence for an ending.
I also see the stage survived without me.. Barely.

I suppose even someone who spends a life beneath the spotlight is allowed to dissappear for a while. This time away has given me a chance to breathe, to grow, and to find my way back to things that make me feel most like myself. So here I am, and I'm grateful to be back. Still alive! How terribly inconvenient for my critics.

All sarcasm in jest of course! 😆 Though..

...One portrait hardly constitutes a comeback. There are more to come. As for where I might turn up next..well. Keep your eyes open.

Crazy over this beautiful photo of Maple~ 🍁🧡

There’s a bit of intention behind how this image was made, so I wanted to share that with you! Ready? 📸🥰

The stairway featured in this image has become a recognizable location at AFC and is photographed frequently throughout the convention. Despite its popularity however, I noticed that many photos didn’t capture it the way I felt it should be seen.

The setting can be deceptively difficult to photograph in a way that truly captures its visual simplicity. The surrounding architecture includes tinted glass panels that introduce noticeable color casts into images taken there, subtly shifting the whites of the structure toward green and blue tones.

For this photograph, the intention was to move away from that effect and instead recreate the scene in a way that reflected how the location appeared in person. The editing and exposure choices were made with the goal of preserving a soft, neutral white background, allowing the architectural space to feel consistent. Removing the color cast coming from the glass solved one of the biggest fundamental issues I had with the environment. The stairway became a minimalist stage for the subject rather than competing with it visually.

Maple played an important role in bringing the image together too! The warm orange tones of the fursuit naturally contrast with the cool whites of the environment which look very pleasing in my opinion!

The last key element of the image lies in the geometry of the stairway itself. The rails and steps created strong leading lines that converged toward the center of the frame. This guides your eye toward Maple, reinforcing him as the focal point while also giving the photograph a sense of depth.

The moment I saw Tarn, I knew he belonged in front of my lens. His suit design is exceptionally clean, smooth-shaven and highly expressive in a way that translates effortlessly on camera. 😇

This shoot took place at AFC, under harsh heat and within a space that offered very little to work with visually. The environment was largely dominated by parking lots, cracked pavement, parked cars, and little intention in its design. Rather than fight that, I chose to remove it here!

I leaned into my favorite technique. Compression and depth. Shooting at 85mm at f/1.4, I turned the background into something of an abstract painting. Turning an otherwise imperfect setting into something soft and unobtrusive.

I introduced some foreground elements to help the scene further. Bushes were placed incidentally near the building, and I used them to shape the frame. The presence added both depth and a subtle color interaction, casting green-blue tones into the fur, which contrasted naturally with the warmth of the golden hour light and Tarn's yellow eyes. ☀️🌳

The result is an image that feels far removed from its location. I transformed an ordinary environment into something intentional, using light, depth, and composition just enough to override reality. 🤎

The very loving Pulsarfolf and Alex staring right back at you all the way from #nordicfuzzcon 💖

I figured it was time to show off more of my biggest shoot of NFC with Pulsar and Alex, we had so much fun! While stealing them away, we found a very pretty street in Malmö, and the backgrounds were gorgeous, I'm quite happy with how this particular one turned out! 🥰

Spent a while making a few iterations tweaking the colors and style, so I really hope you all enjoy it :)

You? Want to take a photo of me? 🤎

Another lovely photo from #nordicfuzzcon this year, I had so much fun doing photos with Quyn the deer! 📸

It would be an understatement to say I spent time on this image. I stayed longer than usual on this, adjusting, revising, and questioning. I can be self-conscious about my work. There's always the internal debate: Is it worth sharing? Is it good enough?

This piece took an hour or two of small refinements. I'd think it was ready to post, then pull back and reconsider. Eventually I posted it on Twitter and the response surprised me. Not just because it was positive, but because it reminded me I didn't need to be quite so critical, and that maybe we should love our art a little bit more. <3

The lighting that day was a little harsh, so I worked to deliberately find softness. The end result ended up being smooth and quite clean! Out of the series, this was one of the only frames that came together the way I hoped, at least so far.

What draws me most is the natural expression and the way the hooves gently rest against the chest. There's something intimate in that detail. The song I paired reflects that idea, and the greater idea about how we should let ourselves love what we create. :)

Thank you for taking your time to read and enjoy my art. I hope you feel something in it, even just a little of the enjoyment that I gained from sharing it. 🐾
